A yummy place for Momos in Newton
Food:
Highly recc the chili momos- cooked with Indochinese flavors of bell peppers, onions, and soy sauce, deliciously saucy. The momos are fried in this dish, would have liked an option for steamed
Butter chicken- it was ok and too sweet, the chicken was cut into thin strips which didn't work too well
Saffron lamb curry- it was ok and too heavy on the saffron flavor, lacked salt
Other:
Friendly staff, fast service
Classic Indian restaurant atmosphere
TLDR;
Come here to satisfy your momo cravings in the Boston area
The best! I’ve been for their lunch buffet numerous times with peers, clients, and friends alike! It’s always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Great price too!

While still able to put away gargantuan amounts of food, my visits to any buffet spots have decreased tremendously over the last decade. My preference for cooked to order has far exceeded the desire to get the most of out of the dollar with food that has been hot held for god knows how long (not to mention endless reheats). So what makes this spot an exception to that preference?
So far, all the Indian spots I've been to around here since the move have simply served rehears of precooked dishes (except for Naan), which is honestly to no surprise and a non-issue. The only time I usually have an issue with reheats is when it comes to Tandoori anything. Even that is understandable as who really wants to wait 30-40 minutes.
With all that in mind and considering what is offered at this buffet line daily, I found myself making that one exception. I usually order tandoori chicken, goat curry, saag of any kind, chana or dal, and basmati rice anywhere I go. So with these often at this buffet, it made sense to just come here for a couple plates and pay significantly less for just about the same quality and taste.
Definitely recommend this spot for a fast and relatively cheap Indian cuisine fix.

No expert on Indian cuisine, but went a lunch and had the buffet. Great selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian items available. Bread was excellent, service good.

This review is for their Harvest Fest food stall. Food was ok, price misleading. We wanted an entree with rice which is 7 dollars on the board, but when we went up to pay they told us 10 dollars and that it was only 7 dollars for a vegetable entree. The portions were laughable 90 percent rice 10 percent lamb curry. Only 5 pieces of small lamb. I’d rather just pay a few more dollars for a buffet somewhere else.
We went here before in store and it’s not bad. Today at the festive, the price they wrote it’s very confusing. Very little and average food for quite expensive price. Felt scammed. Very disappointed.

My taste buds went wild then did a cartwheel. Now this food is amazing ? ! This is the stuff dreams are made of . My Indian dream ?, I will name this experience. The friendliest staff greats you . The decor and table placements an Indian dream . The place is emasculate, in terms of cleanliness level . They have indoor and outdoor seating . I have enclosed a picture for your viewing pleasure . They have a Buffett from 12-2:30 on weekdays , with a large selection of Indian food . I have included a picture of the buffet below ⬇️. I ordered on this beautiful day the universe gave us . 1. Butter chicken 2. Plain Indian bread. 3. Mango Yogurt and 4. Rice
Absolutely phenomenal! Or my Indian dream ?.

Great food and service. Huge menu with many great options. Tandoor kebab was delicious. Recommended.
We recently attended a birthday party buffet at House of Tandoor Indian and Nepali restaurant. While the experience was pleasant, there were a few notable drawbacks. The buffet options were quite limited, which was a bit disappointing for a special occasion. Additionally, the dessert selection was minimal, leaving us wanting more variety.
As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. The dishes were flavorful but lacked the depth and excitement we were hoping for. On the positive side, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Overall, House of Tandoor provided an average dining experience. It's a decent choice if you're in the area, but it may not be the best option for a special celebration or if you're looking for an extensive buffet selection.
