Aquitaine offers a mixed dining experience in a friendly bistro atmosphere. While some guests found the service lacking, with slow and disjointed service, others praised the food as excellent. The mussels and duck L’Orange received positive feedback, though the profiterole was noted to be lacking. Many enjoyed the Chicken Roti, Coq Au Vain, and delicious salmon tartare. The watermelon/feta appetizer was beautifully prepared, and the veal schnitzel was outstanding as well. The Lavender French 75 cocktail was a hit, and the lemon blueberry crepes with honey and sea salt almond brittle were described as divine. However, improvements could be made, such as slicing the crusty bread for easier serving. The ambiance includes red leather banquettes, linen tablecloths, and pleasing artwork. Guests appreciated the extra mile the staff went to feel welcome, but there were reports of slow service, especially during brunch. Overall, Aquitaine has the potential to be a great eatery with a bit more attention to detail. Plenty of parking space is available around the restaurant.
