Fajitas served on regular plate with pre prepared grilled vegetables that were not fresh , not freshly prepared and served in a pan like other Mexican restaurants, food has fast food quality not a restaurant with quality food The environment is okay , this is a place to go to if you have no other alternatives!

The Newton location of Cafe Sol Azteca is charming, from the outdoor patio, to the tastefully decorated interior. The food is great! The salsa is incredible. My go to meal is the chile relleno (primarily with their tomato sauce). I think there can be two different green sauces, one I love, and one, not so much (I think one comes with a full order, and one if you get half green half red, if that makes sense). Others I dine with also often express how much they love their meals there.

Great location for my daughter’s 15th birthday party! The service was amazing, very friendly and professional, food was very good and tasty, live music and a nice vibe and the owner went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for all! Highly recommend it!

I ordered the steak fajita. It was good. I was surprised it did not come with cheese and sour cream. Perhaps it is an American thing. My friend ordered the chicken taco. They said it did not taste like real chicken. I can only share what they told me. They asked for sour cream and guacamole. The guacamole was a small amount. Not much more that 2 heaping tbs. The charge was $7! When I got the bill, I noticed the price on bill was different then on the menu for the steak fajita. They may have increased the price in the computer but not the menus, I have no clue. When I brought to their attention, they did correct the price by applying a discount. The staff was nice, but very inattentive. We sat outside; the atmosphere was very nice. Either a staff member or the owner had a dog there and the dog barked several times, just one back each time. Even though it was outside, it did not feel like it was outside, the barks were loud. It was not a major issue, but it did surprise us each time. I would go back.
