The food is amazing. I wish I could make this 100/5. The service is excellent. Try the pancakes, the grilled cheese, and the shakshuka. We love the feel of the place and the decorations A LOT. Yummy! So much better than Thistle and Leek.

Delicious brunch serving in this restaurant. It is not a very big restaurant, so it fills up very quickly on weekends. The food is very good and great selection of beer and wine. I highly recommended.

My husband and I came on an awfully rainy day/night and the restaurant was still busy - a good testament to them! We ordered the calamari, statler chicken and steak frites - all were delicious and well portioned! For dessert we got both the chocolate bread pudding and crème brûlée - also delicious and not a bite left on the plate! Our server was wonderful (Sergio) and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation, nor too quiet to worry people could eavesdrop! The customers were of all ages too - I saw a grandma with her young adult graunddaughter, young couples, older couples, and even a little 5-6 year old having dinner with her family!

A gem - fantastic food & service. We went for brunch and our waiter was so attentive and the food was so good. We split the popovers (a must), I got the banana pancakes and my partner got the duck hash.

Love this place, and I have been here more than 10 times over 2 years. They offer great food, quality, service and atmosphere.Menu changes by season so you can expect to get various selection of dishes, and I would like to try all the dishes they offer season by season. I cannot specify certain dishes I had since I tried more than 80% of the menu here. Cocktail and beverages are also something that you can rely on. All were good and none of them disappointed me.Service is always welcoming and comfortable regardless you visit here for brunch, lunch, or dinner. This is a cozy small friendly, but not fancy. Yet, the quality of the food is fancy.Kid-friendliness: Yes

We really enjoy having lunch at Farmstead Table. It's a special place with a charming atmosphere. There are always good food choices and I always look forward to the popovers! We'll be back again.

I always enjoy coming here with its small, cozy ambiance and good service. I don't think I've had a bad meal here and this time did not disappoint. Popover appetizer was especially good. Main courses were all excellent. Don't want to say I highly recommend because that will mean it's even harder to get a seat ?

One of the best restaurants in Newton, indeed in greater Boston. We've been probably happy a dozen times over the last five or so years, and every visit has had super service and excellent food.Parking: There's a big lot a short walk away that nearly always has spaces open, and there's plenty of street parking. Can't remember a visit when we couldn't find parking on Union St.

Went for brunch with a friend. Couldn't resist the popovers - they are wonderful. Enjoyed our shakshuka and mushroom toast. Service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

With most of my experiences at Farmstead Table the food has been good and the service has been efficient and friendly. The ambience is cozy, lively, and upbeat, and the noise level is manageable enough to have a conversation. Friday night the service was abnormally slow.

Great food...freshly prepared, beautifully plated, and very tasty! Unusual combinations of things available, as well as more straightforward fare. Staff pleasantly attentive and cheerful, give good service without hovering. Definitely worth the trip!

in our party of four people, two ordered the Statler chicken, one ordered the fish (I think it was halibut), one had the pork chop. The person who ordered pork chop enjoyed his food. I had the chicken, which was was extremely salty. My friend who also ordered chicken agreed that the top must have fallen off the salt shaker. My friend who ordered the fish said that hers was also much too salty. Our server was lovely and we enjoyed being able to converse without the usual restaurant shouting scene.
