Hopster's bartender Mercedes changed my receipt to tip herself more. Not only is this stealing, but it's hilarious that she wanted a bigger tip. I ordered six carryout beers ($42 for 6 beers at hopsters). It wasn't ready when I got there. My contact-less pickup became me getting my own beer out of the fridge and paying at the bar. After failing at every level, Hopsters bartender then added a $9.75 tip for herself!

This darling of Regulation Crowdfunding defrauded hundreds of investors and filed Chapter 11 a few weeks ago. They're still operating, although I'm not sure I would eat food at an insolvent restaurant.

We live in Pennsylvania but were staying at a hotel up in Newton/Watertown, Massachusetts. Went to the Hopsters on Centre St in Newton and had a great experience. Beers were top-notch (had the Duke IPA and the Englishman pub ale) and the food was outstanding and a cut above the usual pub grub. Our server, Mercedes, was friendly, attentive, and knew a lot about both the beer and the food. The place had a nice vibe to it - cozy and family-friendly, but large enough to seat us right away. We headed back to Pennsylvania the next day, but are already looking forward to our next trip to Newton, Mass, when we will definitely make a return visit to Hopsters! Highly recommended.

Terrific new menu, lots of options, both craft beer and cocktails served here. Avocado toast, carnitas, peach bbq pulled pork pizza. A great place to come with family and friends.

The food and beer sangrias were so good, and our servers were amazing. Only taking one star off because (I’m not sure if this was the owner or some other patron) a guy at the bar loudly said “once these 2 d-bags leave” referring to my friend and me. Kinda weird, not the nicest thing to say about someone in public, def not cool if that was the owner or manager. But still a fan of this place!

Had a great experience at Hopsters. love that they have both beer and cocktail options. The flatbreads were EXCELLENT. We all couldn't get over how great the crust was. Our flatbread ripped when coming out of the oven and our server brought it to us and said "another is already being made for you guys but I wanted to bring out something for you to start on." We ended up taking a lot home! Service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're looking for a laid back place to enjoy a drink and good food

Recently found out this place more than just a brewery. It's a great restaurant also. They had what looked like a tasty lemonade on the menu but our server Mark ( awesome and friendly) Suggested I try the beer sangria... One word, delicious. I couldn't believe it I had 2 and shared the third. We also ordered a flat bread ( Newton Square )pizza ,that too was delicious. I encourage you to go and try it. Worth the visit. The atmosphere is fun and Covid Safety friendly. Go and enjoy.

Enjoyed some fantastic beers, absolutely delicious food from their new menu, and friendly staff. The high quality food really pairs well with the craft beer scene in the Seaport. Highly recommend stopping in for a great time. Can’t wait to try the brew your own beer experience there next.

Been waiting to try this place, and it didn’t disappoint! Great food, drinks, and the staff did a great job keeping the place socially distant and safe. Our server Mark was awesome! We will be back.
This restaurant is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very welcoming and the food they offer is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a good dinner in this place. Highly recommended.

In my opinion, it is past its prime, overpriced and uninspired. I haven't been there in a bit, to be forthright, but I hear things have gotten worse. What gets it a 1-rating is how, in my opinion, nasty the owners are. I'm very disappointed.

I have heard some bad things about ownership but hey who I am to judge someone if they are having a bad day. Ordering takeout and finding a bug in my food. That crosses the line for me - won't be back...

The owner is advertising 50% off beer prices during covid. We made a purchase and he would not honor the 50% discount that he was advertising. Fraudulent.
