Mochiko Hawaiian Reviews
I’ve been coming here for maybe a month for smoothies on hot days. One day I went in, and a delivery driver was picking up a massive order. Just stumbled onto this new joint in Newtonville and realized I was hours past lunch...
Grabbed a spicy chicken sandwich. Messy AF and just as delicious!!!
I'll be back to try more! Nice work, guys!👍
Big Island Hawaiian Girl approved!!! Have missed having true Hawaiian food living on the east coast. Kalua pig and Loco Moco plates were spot on!! Even the Mac Salad reminded me of home! We will be back over and over!!

Mochiko Hawaiian is a hip restaurant with super nice people, offering a comfortable space for dining. The menu features great items like the salad and slaw, and the Mochiko Chix Sandwich with tetras tots and gochujang mayo is absolutely delicious. The chef, Michael, is friendly, humble, and provides excellent service with amazing food. The restaurant is known for its Ono grinz, with dishes like Kahlua Pig and Spam Musubi receiving praise, even if some customers miss the teriyaki sauce. The cool drinks and sides, especially the Tetris Tots, are a must-try, contributing to the delightful dining experience.
Reviews highlight that the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is unmatched, making it a perfect spot for a quick bite. The atmosphere is warm, and the setup is nice, featuring a unique ordering system. Many customers appreciate the beautiful presentation of the food, but some mention that the flavors could be improved, noting that the pork wasn't tender and the chicken was under-seasoned. Despite this, Mochiko Hawaiian remains a favorite among locals for its inviting vibe and fresh ingredients. It is also very kid-friendly and offers plenty of vegetarian options, making it a great choice for families.
