Definitely my go to place for breakfast a few times a week! Many fresh bagels options to go with your sandwich. The Broadway, the seaport, and the Bronx bomber are some of my faves! Huge breakfast sandwiches with 3 eggs! Fresh hot/ice coffee (top tier quality brand) self serve and you can find everything on the counter to customize to your own liking. The staff are amazing. Friendly, efficient, and the atmosphere is great. It's worth waiting in line. They also have an online ordering system for pickup.

I had heard good things about New York Bagel Factory and when I dropped my car off for service, my husband and I stopped for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
Their iced coffee is fantastic! I ordered a Large and they handed me a cup with 3 giant ice cubes made with their coffee (this is an elite move!!) and directed me to their coffee bar, they had 4 different kids of iced coffee; 1 regular, 1 decaf and 2 specialty flavors. They also had a variety of sauces and syrups plus every time of sugar/sugar substitute and milks/creams (half & half, skim, oat milk etc.).
My husband and I both ordered Sausage, Egg & Cheese, mine on a toasted Asiago bagel and his on a toasted Cinnamon Crunch bagel. They were huge! We were both only able to eat half and saved the other half for lunch. The eggs were fluffy, sausage delicious and cheese perfectly melted. The bagels were just okay, we both said they had the consistency of a thick hamburger bun.
There are several tables and bar seating against the front window inside the shop and in the nicer weather, a handful of tables outside.
We'd both 100% go back for coffee but would probably skip the bagels. Their muffins and giant cookies in the case looked delicious, we'd probably try those next time!

Phenomenal. I got a jalapeño cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese, lox, and a bunch of other add-ons. One of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had. I love all the different add-ons you can put on the bagels and how customizable everything is. Especially love adding salsa to my bagel sandwich - it’s a bit unusual and no other bagel places I’ve been to have that option, but when I tried doing this here it made for a standout sandwich.
I ordered online before driving there and, 8 minutes later, right when I got there, the order was ready despite there being a long line for in-person ordering.

These bagels are HUGE wow you certainly get a lot for what you pay for! My partner and I ordered our own but we 100% could have easily split just one between us. The bagels are soft and warm, perfect texture for a thick sandwich. We got the Bronx Bomber and Seaport (Lox) sandwich, both fantastic but if I were to make changes I would say the Bronx does not need the hashbrown, especially 2 layers. The Seaport does not include capers, I believe it should come standard as many other places do, or at least do not incur cost for adding them.
Overall very pleased with them and can happily say I think this is our new favorite bagel joint!♡

Newton and New England love their doughy, bready, circles with no bread in the middle. They might be the doughnut, but that this place, the bagel reigns supreme. And the bagel is celebrated in all of it's various forms here.
New York Bagel Cafe was recommended to me because they have gluten-free options. So, in the interests of understanding the great flavors of Newton, I visited this place.
Upon entering, one is immediately shuffled into a line-up area, where you can queue up, find the menu selection you want, and prepare to order it. It will be helpful to check in with the Google maps app to see if there are lot of people at this place, because this might slow down the time it takes to make your food. If your order is gluten-free, this makes sense as it takes time to protect the food from exposure to contamination.
I ordered a toasted bacon, egg, and cheese. Of course, in a restaurant like this, it is difficult to achieve true gluten-free products. It is a place where regular glutenous items are made, but they make a solid effort. Those with Celiac may want to double check with restaurant staff to see if they can make accomodations.
Overall, I was impressed by the size of the sandwich! I enjoyed a hearty breakfast sandwich before I started my day and it was a nice beginning to a busy weekday.
I did not notice any sustainability practices, but I do appreciate the fact that I was able to get a wonderfully delicious sandwich there!
