This place should really have 5 stars. As a self proclaimed Thai food connoisseur, I have been here SEVERAL times and the food is consistent, flavorful, and executed gracefully. The classic Thai noodles here (pad see ew, pad kee mao, pad thai) are packed with authentic flavor. Portions are excellent. They have a variety of interesting entree dishes (chicken, duck, beef etc). I have tried several and they are always excellent and complimentary. I highly recommend the fish fillets. So crispy and seasoned well. The sushi here is also amazing. Fish quality is fresh, smooth, and fatty.Large, open space perfect for families or get togethers. Ambiance is relaxing with jazz playing in the background. Service is also great, waiters are attentive and kind.Such a hidden gem in Newton!

The spinach tofu noodles were really good... and even better cold the next day. Great flavor in their food and nice ambience!

The Thai food is really flavorful! Wait staff was very friendly and helpful while recommends several great dishes to us. My friend and I went on one of the coldest days in the winter, and the restaurant was not very well insulated, so we had our winter coats on throughout the whole meal. The wait staff was very apologetic. Hopefully this can be improved soon! We didn't get a chance to try their Japanese menu, but will definitely return for Thai dishes!!

The chicken mango curry was really good with big chucks of mango. You need to order rice on the side. The Thai iced tea was so good too.

Had the lunch green curry with shrimp. It was delicious. I appreciated that on GrubHub they give you the option to specify how hot you want it. I went with "Extremely spicy." Unfortunately it did not make me cry. It didn't even make me sweat a drop. So if you're a fellow masochist, you're likely going to have to be very adamant about the fact that you really want it to hurt. Because while delicious, it certainly was not "Extremely spicy."Also the shrimp isn't the move. They use little baby shrimp. Next time I'm gonna go with chicken. And the dinner curry is $1.00 more than the lunch curry. I'm assuming the dinner portion is larger than the lunch, as the lunch was quite small. So why 4 stars after these gripes? Potential. That's why. If it were hotter and a larger portion, it would definitely be 5 star material. And I think both of those things are achievable. Unless you're insistent on getting shrimp, in which case you should probably look elsewhere.

Came for lunch. Very nice restaurant with good service. Cashew shrimp and chicken with peanut sauce were very tasty.

Wonderful food and service - the drunken noodles were perfectly spicy for me: I ordered medium spicy and was nervous it wouldn't be spicy enough, but it was lovely - felt the heat without full on sweating either. My mom loved the pad see ew with chicken. I also ordered online and went to the restaurant to pick up the order, and the staff were so kind. I wasn't even waiting very long (granted, I went to the restaurant before I even got the confirmation email that my order was ready) and the person at the pickup desk was so accommodating. He even gave me a thai iced tea and thanked me for my time. For the record, the thai iced tea is delicious here as well :) Definitely will be making a return here soon!!

I hate to say it because there is no tougher field than restaurants, but this meal was awful - and didn't even taste like Thai food. Five of us ate and not one dish was good other than the soup. And the waiters were running around like crazy because they were so understaffed.

This was the BEST Thai takeout I have ever had. I got the Mango Chicken Curry. It was out of this world - hot, fresh, flavorful. The serving was large and it heated up well for leftovers. I haven't dined in, but I'd expect that to be enjoyable as well.

I've been coming here regularly for a few months. Everyone that works here is great but Nicky usually takes care of me and she is fantastic. I've been in the industry for about 10 years so I really appreciate and notice when people are excellent. She is always prompt, courteous, professional, has a great memory and she's detail oriented. I'm always taken care of quickly and the food is also great. Thank you for being a wonderful lunch spot for my breaks at work, my co-workers also enjoy getting take out.

Wonderful place for Tai and Sushi...though there is no sushi on Monday through Wednesday... I like sushi so I ordered three salmon nigera (1 smoked, two regular), and a salmon roll. The roll was served first and you could taste how fresh the salmon was. The sushi chef then came to my table and asked if I would like to try his Tosh (sp?) version in place of one of the regular salmon sushi. He explained it is a fatty salmon and the kind of seer it with a torch. It was excellent and much better that a "regular " sushi. My wife lover her dish and we agreed we have to come back and try the other items on the menu.

We have come to Amarin for both dine in and and take out food for about 10 years. This used to be our go-to restaurant given that their dishes are very tasty and it was a quick and easy spot to grab a sit down bite to eat, or bring it home. My favorite dishes are the salmon choo-chee and the pad see ew with chicken. The tofu spinach noodles are also excellent, coming from someone who does not enjoy tofu much. I would also recommend the chicken satay. As their food is delicious, we have gradually reduced the number of times we come here because for years they have been cutting down their portions. This passed week we got take out and the salmon was one of the skimpiest pieces I had ever seen; I felt as if I had been robbed. As it was still absolutely delicious, I felt very upset about the portion I was provided. This was our first time back in over a year, and I don't know when we will be back again. I will say that if u are not a hungry person and don't mind smaller portions, this is an amazing and tasty restaurant

Yikes, need a cleanup on aisle 5... we have a massive oil spill. See pictures for how disgustingly soaked those pad Thai noodles were... and that's from just the amount of noodles that remained! I felt sick after eating over half, and then realized why when I tilted the container. Also, I've never been charged for chili paste at any other Thai restaurant (a microscopically small to-go cup at that). I know times are tough but that's just nickel and diming.
