Outstanding!! Table ready when we arrived, attentive and lovely service and amazing food! I could eat the asparagus caesar salad every day for the rest of my life -- so, so good. Just ate the leftovers for lunch which was a treat because it took all my will power to stop eating last night before I was too full. Love Sycamore and will be back soon!

Delightful! Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Inside busy, which is great!; but very noisy which would have made it impossible for one of my guests to hear and engage in conversation. Food terrific, staff kind and welcoming. Service a bit slow due to busyness.

Perhaps one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in (without a reservation) we were greeted and welcomed like we belonged. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and inviting even at the bar. Cocktails were delicious, we were treated like royalty, and the wine was so good I insisted on taking the bottle home. They treated us like long time friends even though it was our first time there. The food was phenomenal; every dish bursted with a delicious flavor profile; dessert was tasty and the menu pairs them with unique interpretations of espresso martinis. I was texting my friends expressing how exciting our experience was - we will be back for sure! Thank you to Aaron and the crew tonight who made us so happy. Our new favorite place!

It was an amazing restaurant. Each dish came with a pleasant surprise, and the flavors were excellent. The ceviche was presented differently than I had imagined, and the gratin was creatively prepared like lasagna. Even the corn soup was an arrangement I had never tasted before. However, every dish blended the local ingredients beautifully, creating a new and delightful taste. The syrup-soaked cake for dessert was also a stylish and innovative dish, with chai spices adding a unique twist to the sweetness. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was chic, and there was a steady stream of local customers.
Although Newton is a bit far from downtown Boston, this place is definitely a taste I would recommend to friends.

The ingredients and dishes were excellent. My only issue was that the chef was very very heavy on salt. Even the butter for bread was the saltiest I have ever tasted. Otherwise, we loved the swordfish, the steak and the bluefish.

All dishes are on the small side and expensive here, but everything full of flavor and very high in quality. I felt my money was well spent and will come here again and try other dishes. Below is what is ate for dinner.
Bluefish pate- very fresh. Very light ocean taste with a nice combination of spices. The pate was thick and spread nicely over the toasted sourdough chips 4/5
Corn soup- focused on the savory side of corn rather then the sweet. Bursting with flavor with a nice kick at the back end. The scallops added some nice texture to the soup. 5/5
Swordfish- perfectly cooked with a nice sear on top. Salsa vede had deep flavor and a mild spiciness that complimented the dish well. 5/5
manjari chocolate budino- basically a higher quality jello pudding. Came with a nice corn caramel sauce and and some Chintelly cream. This was pretty good. 4/5
I would recommend giving this place shot and is a good excuse to get out of the city. . High quality and delicious food
We enjoy sycamore. The environment has a warm and friendly vibe but with a nice energy. Service was wonderful. Food was delicious although pasta was a tad salty this time for me. Wish they would get an espresso machine but otherwise a lovely meal and evening with friends.

Great service. Delicious food. The rigatoni with sausage lamb ragu and eggplant was delicious. The steak was also great- perfectly cooked. The dessert menu was great but unfortunately we were too full to partake.

The food was excellent. The heirloom tomato salad was the best part of a tasty meal. My only issue is with the host for a second time. A different host but the same poor attitude. I did not appreciate being rushed. It was not like we were malingering at our table - we ordered drinks, snacks, appetizers and dinner. We ordered the snacks first before we decided on dinner. The host came over to asked if we were ordering more food. We had a dinner reservation of course we were ordering dinner. Our waiter had us covered. I didn't think this was a fast casual place. My friend and I were catching up and enjoying our drinks and snacks. This policy of limiting patrons to 90 minutes isn't very accommodating when you're trying to enjoy a meal. I didn't appreciate being rushed and when we left at 9pm I doubt the table was being turned as it was a Tuesday night.

They have metered parking ?️, so no worries.The staff is super friendly, warm and welcoming. Today it was busy but I was able to reserve a table on “ open table “. I had the steak ? it was really good . The picture is below ⬇️. My husband had the chicken it tasted fresh and was really good . The portion sizes are really good. I was surprised by that . The fruity cocktails I tried them all , they are really good . I have some pictures below ⬇️. The place is spotless including the bathrooms .
