Tartufo’s is the best Italian restaurant around. Their food is beyond compare, and this applies to everything they serve.

First time there. Service was excellent. Greated by a friendly hostess. Table was a bit delayed but it was very busy so that was to be expected. Had a quick drink at the bar and was lead up stairs to a nice corner table. Our server upstairs was prompt and friendly. Always on top of our drinks orders. We had the meatballs and mussels to start and they were delicious. For entrees we had the shrimp and scallops risotto and the scallops over parpadelle. I felt the scallops over parpadelle was a little underseasoned but it was still very fresh tasting and well cooked. I took it home added some parm cheese and loved it as a midnight snack! My only complaint would be Opentable said it had free valet parking and we drove around looking for it and couldn't find it. We found a spot nearby and forgot to ask about it while we were there. If they did have it, it wasnt obvious. If they didnt, they should correct open table. We will definitely go back!

I went to Tartufo last night (a Saturday) at 5 and the place was very busy. It can get pretty noisy as the tables are pretty close together. Still, a very nice atmosphere and everyone was having a good time. I shared the Arugula salad with my friend and it had very little flavor. Then I had the Orecchiette, Sausage & Rapini, which was delicious and a decent sized portion. My friend was disappointed with her Lobster Ravioli in a pink vodka sauce. It was a bit heavy on the tomato base and was more of a typical red sauce. All in all, though, a good experience with relatively easy street parking.

I ordered Chicken Picatta from Tartufo & I will never order the same dish again... it was absolutely flavorless! As I was just home & recovering from surgery, the easiest flavor enhanser, I could add was pecorino romano cheese, which helped, but I'd ordered a dish which shud have been bright & bring some acid to the equation. The dish, sent me, offered neither. I will never shut a restaurant down, on the basis of one experience, but I'm skeptical about anything that might follow.

Diamond in the ruff! We had a family dinner with a table for 8 upstairs. The food was delicious and the service was equally as good. We will be back!

We arrived 7:31pm for a 7:30 reservation. Hostess said it'd be 10 minutes delayed. We still were waiting, and at 7:47pm my wife inquired about the table and was told the table should be ready around 8pm. We were seated at 8:02pm. Yes they were busy. There were other parties waiting. Understood. The reason for this review is that no one, including the manager, ever communicated their apologies or appreciation for the delay and for our patience. Once seated, waited 40 minutes for the entrees. The waiter never checked in on us or asked about the food. Perhaps that was intentional, as my chicken parm tasted like the chicken was previously frozen. My family also was underwhelmed with the mediocre quality and under-seasoning of our meals. Again, no one approached us with an apology for the 30 minute delay. Prior visits there were decent, thus our desire to dine there again. Overall, a frustrating and exasperating experience.
