If you want authentic southern barbecue, Don’s is some of the best you’ll find anywhere. The hospitality was great, but more than that you get the sense that the owner really cares about his craft and service. Tell him that you care about quality barbecue and he’ll make you feel part of the club with extra tastes of this or that, an inside scoop on the effort it takes, and a promise of more to come when you return. The brisket was delicious, with an amazing bark and juiciness that only comes with smoking the meat for as long as it takes. The unexpected stand out though was the pulled pork, which was so peppery but so good. This place deserves to be on every foodie map.

Consistent friendly service and perfectly slow cooked delicious meals from this BBQ joint. Beef brisket is cut to order and the smokey richness is addicting. Burnt ends go quick on the day and was happy to finally get to try the delightful rib tips. Favorite side by far are the collard greens.

Love it! The owners are a sweet couple (?) Maybe not but the place has a family run feel. The owner gave us some free pralines because he said they always do that in NOLA, which just went above and beyond. The unlimited lemonade and sweet tea is dangerous because it tastes SO GOOD. the food is delicious and I highly recommend the brisket and the mac and cheese. We love coming here!

Had the opportunity to visit Dons while in town. One word - SPECTACULAR! Boston needs a good bbq joint and this place delivers - from the first bite you can tell it’s homemade and infused with love of the craft. Definitely get the brisket but don’t sleep on the bbq beans or the burnt ends! The owner is passionate about bbq and eager to share various things, which goes a long way ! Will absolutely be back.

Best BBQ I’ve had in New England, collard greens were amazing. Brisket melts in your mouth and the smoked andouille was simply incredible. Can’t wait to return and try more off the menu.

Unlikely east Texas BBQ joint in Watertown, Massachusetts. Well off the beaten path. This is the real deal! Food is great. Old fashioned traditional Southern hospitality.

Not an expert on southern cuisine, but I've loved it whenever I've had it.(The last time was in Tennessee)I hot the one meat platter with brisket, collard greens and the Mac and cheese.I loved every single bite. I just wish they'd opened before I moved out of watertown lol. I'll make the occasional trip there for the good food though.(PS. The KC burnt ends really are candy)

First but not last visit to this great eatery. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I want to come back to soak up the atmosphere when there is a crowd there. Got a sampling of the brisket which was outstanding.

Just ordered a Brisket Platter with Potato Salad + Andouille Sausage & Rice. The brisket was probably the best brisket I've ever had. Super moist and tasted amazing. The sides were also amazing. Will definitely be coming back. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Good barbeque is hard to find in New England, but The Don's BBQ fits the bill! The brisket and pulled pork were tender, not dry. The ribs, collard greens, and mac and cheese were great too. Even the dessert was good--homemade carrot cake and pralines! I can't wait to come back to try the pulled chicken and turkey leg. With some of my other favorite BBQ restaudants now gone, I'm glad to have found The Don's!
