We were so appreciative of their willingness to accommodate the last-minute order, and we were very impressed with the quality of both the cake and the decoration. I called the morning of my co-workers birthday. Despite having a hectic day, Sara was kind enough to go over all the vegan-gluten free options, letting me know which ones were also nut-free. The delivery option at this location was not available yet, so I requested uBer Courier to go get. The driver refused to get out of the car to pick up the order, so I called the bakery and Sara offered to run the order out to the driver who cancelled just as I hung up with Sara. She immediately offered to run the order to me during her lunch break. I have not had this above-and-beyond service in a long time!! Kudos to Sara and White Lion!!

Vegan cheese cake and Chocolate Silk Pie were AMAIZING. Everyone, even non-GF-DF-eaters asked for seconds. Their vegan offerings are actually vegan (no hidden dairy in the chocolate... and my stomach would tell me if there was). Challah was pretty good; made better as french toast. Donuts had a strange texture but good flavor. My non-gf 12 year old gobbled them down. The cup cake was ok. Too sweet for me (as GF cake tends to be) and ok crumb. Not gritty, but a bit too crubly, if that makes sense. I think they make everything on Cape and ship it up frozen, which would explain some of the inconsistencies. This is a cute, LITTLE shop run by lovely and helpful people. Very crowded with 3 customers & 2 staff. The building is not wheelchair accessible, but that's on the landlord. I'm willing to bet the staff would have brought items out to us to look at if my walker-pushing-mom hadn't been able to make it up the steps.

A++ Such a wonderful bakery. I originally ordered a birthday cake which was divine, but then decided to try other baked goods and what a treat!!! The owner and staff are excellent. There was a mix up with my order and they went above and beyond to make it right. Great business and GF/DF products. 10/10!

We had the chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. As per directions, we wanted it on the dense side and served it cold— we thought it was perfection. It was fine for serving the next day too. Am ordering again for a special occasion.
We have also had the pavlova with fruit sauce. I was hesitant to get it because I could have made it at home. I was relieved to not have to fuss or worry about cross contamination for gluten free friends. It, too, was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: So nice to have so many gluten free options. They are beautiful to look at in this unique bakery. Worth the trip!

Ordered a cake for May 18. Very disappointed in the GF cake. It was a vanilla cake with lemon mousse filling and white chocolate frosting. The cake was stale, there was only a hint of lemon mousse filling, mostly just frosting and the frosting just fell apart as the cake was sliced. It was for a special occasion and I was embarrassed to serve it to 12 people, no one enjoyed the cake. Absolutely not worth the $70.00!!
Honey isn’t vegan. Do not label a product vegan if it contains honey. Cal it vegetarian or plant-based, or dairy and egg free. It’s not vegan. Also don’t get rude and aggressive when this fact is pointed out.

White Lion bakery in Waban is such a treasure. Their chocolate cream pie is amazing! I’m not personally gluten free, but several work colleagues are and I appreciate having someplace that I can go get an office treat that everyone can enjoy.
