Terrible customer service and food quality has gone way down.
Not our first time here. Our past few visits we have had a great experience. They advertised prime rib French dip as a special for 27. and my table ordered that. A prime rib French dip sandwich is normally served with the gravy and is served hot. What we received was a cold roll with shaved steak and no dipping sauce. Our waitress did acknowledge that the steak and cheese was better but he ordered the French dip as advertised. She spoke to the manager who refused to remedy the situation.. What a horrible experience and we definitely won’t be back and not recommending this place at all. If a restaurant is going to advertise something and deliver something completely different they won’t get our business .
Been here twice and love it. The service is amazing and the food is good. Went here for business meetings and well it has that home like atmosphere. Nothing fancy but that is what you want, good conversation, great service and to leave fulfilled.
I grew up in this area and bring my family to the Eagle Brook every year when I visit. We go with another couple and their son and usually drop about $200 on food/drinks and leave $40-$50 tips. Tonight's experience was terrible. For context, the restaurant was 1/3 to 1/2 full, and our waitress had two tables. The waitress, Mikayla, took half the table's drink order and walked away. When she returned, she brought my son a water (he ordered a sprite), and was rude when I asked why she hadn't taken the full table's drink order at the same time. Not a big deal, but certainly a foreshadowing of the service to come. She took our food orders, left the menus on the table and it took nearly 45 min. to get our food. Some of the food we ordered came; it was all given to my husband and she held the next plate of food until he realized that he was supposed to pass the plates around (?). The steak tips were charred to a crisp, the "mashed" potatoes were barely warm and barely mashed, and neither my husband nor my youngest son got their food at all. After 15 min. without being checked in on, Mikayla passed by and I called her over. I asked where the other food was, and she said that my son (4 years old) only ordered mashed potatoes (not true, my husband ordered the baked chicken dinner for him), and said that my husband didn't order anything for himself (what?!!). After our friend told her that my husband ordered the same thing that he did, she turned, didn't apologize, and walked off. About 10 min. later, she returned with a dry chicken breast that was literally baked in the oven with no seasoning (not even salt/pepper) and my husband's stew. Again, no apologies. A couple of us ordered another drink so that my husband and son could eat their dinner, and she never checked back in on us. As she was walking by, I asked her for the check - she did not even turn around, but did bring the check shortly thereafter. She finally said that she was sorry for the mix-up, just in time to get a tip. Sorry, Mikayla, that wasn't enough to rectify your service. The dry chicken breast was comped, so we tipped her the amount that would have cost - the tip she received fully reflected her service. Our group was standing in the parking lot to chat a bit, and Mikayla ran out with the bill in her hand to say "thank you" - not sure what she was looking to get out of that interaction, but she was obviously angry and her thank you was sarcastic. Eagle Brook, I look forward to when you are able to hire more mature staff who understand that folks are willing to drop a decent amount of money on a tip for good service.
Food was very good, and our server was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to be helpful. I had called ahead about working with some dietary limitations; I was impressed that the manager took the time to talk to the chef about our needs, and they actually remembered what we had discussed when we arrived several hours later. They were also helpful when the person with the dietary limitations changed their mind about what to eat, and didn't make us feel bad about getting us additional information. If you deal with dietary limitations, you know that it makes all the difference to have staff who take you seriously and don't act like you are putting them out; Eagle Brook was fantastic in making us feel fine about our requests. Definitely on a new addition on our list of go-to places.
The service, food/beverage and atmosphere were perfect for our family visit. Payton did an excellent job keeping an eye on us without hovering :) The Fried Scallop Roll is a MUST try. We LOVED this place and will return.
I hadn't been to the Eagle Brook in many years, but always had fond memories of both the food and the atmosphere. Went there the other night with my family and was extremely disappointed. The atmosphere was fine, but the food was just not good. Clam chowder was super watery, not creamy at all. The chicken fingers tasted like they were bought frozen and reheated. The baked haddock was extremely dry. Just not up to expectation. Extremely disappointed!!
Glad they are back open. Been coming here for over 25 years. If you don’t know what a Dusty Rider is you haven’t been here. Great local spot.
steak tips are excellent. very enjoyable dinner

So good! Ordered tacos and wings and was so yummy! Waitress was so nice!
Excellent pizza!! Came here after a long day at the softball fields. We were with a party of 8 and pleasantly surprised as we were seated right away. The server was very attentive, and the food came out in timely manner. Our table ordered eggplant parmesan, smokehouse, cheese, buffalo chicken, and philly cheese steak pizzas. Everyone was raving about how good their pizzas were. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.
I had made outdoor reservations with a friend and both of us have been trying to stick to outdoor dining. The weather was awful and both our server and a gentleman who I believe was the manager checked on us outside and offered a private room. We ended up taking them up on it as it was just too gross out. I really appreciated their kindness and understanding. We ended up eating indoors and felt totally comfortable.
Our server was so nice, food came so fast and it was perfection. Always consistent and always delicious!!! I grew up in Norfolk but moved away 26+ years ago. Would love to know if EB is haunted!! Because that would just make it even better!
The sweet potato fries were very good and my husband enjoyed hus chicken sandwich. I enjoyed my Parmigian chicken sandwich on garlic bread. I was disappointed they no longer have the bread bowl for the stew. The waitress was friendly- greeted us quickly and answered all our questions.
