I am a person who enjoys neither bagels nor cream cheese.

So no one was more surprised than I was when I found myself using a plain toasted Hexagon sourdough bagel as a delicious delivery device for an 8oz tub of salted maple cream cheese, and when I finished the bagel, continued to enjoy the cream cheese with a spoon straight from the tub.

They’re that good.

that bagel was the second most delicious thing i have ever put into my mouth!… first if we’re only counting food.

Hexagon Bagels is doing the unthinkable: ruining the North Adams Facebook crowd’s favorite hobby of complaining that downtown is empty... because it definitely isn’t anymore! Much like Plant Connector, Steeple City Social, and Berkshire Emporium this place has become a true magnet that actually pulls people out of their houses and into downtown. You’ll see visitors fresh from Mass MoCA rubbing shoulders with Drury high schoolers, MCLA students (who don’t often wander far from campus), longtime locals, and even the occasional Williams professor bravely making the pilgrimage from Williamstown in search of a truly good bagel worth the drive. My personal favorite is the Mediterranean plate with the Jerusalem bagel, and as someone who grew up in Jerusalem, I can confirm it’s the real deal—fresh labneh, real za’atar, and v-e-r-y good olives. The sourdough recipe is perfectly chewy, clearly made by people who care about doing things right. Our 2.5-year-old is completely obsessed, which means we’re there practically every weekend. The vibe is cheerful and unpretentious—the kind of place where you bump into three people you know before you even order. Definitely get there early because the line moves fast but the crowd is real. Hexagon isn’t just a bagel shop; it’s proof that downtown North Adams is very much awake... and carb-powered!

Bought a half dozen assorted bagels. They are good. Great? Not for me. The sourdough isn't the classic dough to make NY-style old world bagels. To their credit, they are not trying to emulate old world, hence the all-sourdough selection. The place was fairly crowded, a good vibe. Stopped by around 11:30 am and found very few bagels to choose from. I could tell they had been sitting around a few hours. I will visit again, this time I'll drop by earlier in the morning.

This place is the biggest news in the area, and they certainly did not disappoint. The First Date bagel is amazing. The bagels are different compared to what you would get in NYC and Jersey (less rise going on w the dough) but they are no less delicious. Plenty of indoor seating and a nice dining room atmosphere. Pretty much the only option if you are looking for a good bagel breakfast in the Berkshires. Also, they will sell out fast. GO EARLY

It’s always great, you’ll only be disappointed in yourself for not going sooner. They sell out so go early if you get angry at those kinds of things or are driving from afar

The Rosemary & Salt bagel was beyond delicious- the definition of cozy, comfort food in bagel form. I paired it with the chive cream cheese but it would be fantastic with just butter as well. I can’t wait to try all the other flavors and very excited to have a bagel shop in town!

absolutely delicious, fantastic prices, and friendly service! I would suggest adding signage for the ordering queue, moving the POS to the short end of the bar to alleviate traffic jams, and adding highchairs 😊 we will be back!

One of the best breakfasts in the Berkshires. There's a NYC-style line right to the door on the weekends, and that tells you a thing or two about the quality of the food. The historic arched-glass south-facing window pours in light.

Their bagels are a sourdough variety, which gives them a very unique, slightly tart flavor (kind of like the Greek Yogurt of bagels). Great flavor combinations - Rosemary Salt, Pumpernickel, Everything, etc. There's always something new on the menu.

Healthy, delicious, fresh, flavorful, these bagels will knock your socks off. Don't miss this if you're in North Adams.

Hexagon Bagels is a true North Adams community staple. From a pop up at local farmers markets and events to their new brick and mortar shop on Main St., locals know and love Hexagon for their delicious bagels and schmear and friendly service.

The new shop is beautiful with great natural light and plenty of seating. The bagels are as delicious as ever! The coffee from Speedwell is a lovely addition, and I hope the Hexagon gang will consider expanding their coffee offerings once things level out a bit for them and they get into the groove at the new shop.

If you’re looking for a great bagel in northern Berkshire County, this is where you need to go. No question.

Bonus star for their vegan cream cheese option and the fact that they usually have a vegan bagel sandwich option as well!
