The food was much better than my recent visits. Our server was outstanding, polite and very personable.

Changing my review from 5 to 4 stars. This used to be a value restaurant but now it's overpriced for what you get. $17 for a glass of HOUSE wine? You gotta be kidding me... It's cheaper even in Boston.

Let me start by saying that that the 173 people who collectively have given this dump 2.3 stars out of 5 are being very generous. Outside of the rolls the food is mediocre at best. The people who work there look miserable and probably hate being there and their attention to detail reinforces my point. And to complete the story, the customer service, as displayed by a totally incompetent manager is awful. I ordered several things, among them a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. It came without any dressing either on the salad or on the side, in other words lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese, croutons and grilled shrimp. I did not pay about $25 for dry lettuce. I called and first spoke to the woman who took the order asking for a credit so I could get another salad. She said I would have to speak to the manager. The manager, clearly a world class incompetent person when it comes to customer service first said that the woman who took the order said she put the dressing on the side. That was a lie as it was neither in the main bag or the bag with the rolls. Clearly she did not want to look bad in her manager's eyes. Then the manager said that he could not give me a $25 credit because the shrimp was not missing. Wonderful. I told him I would not be seeing that Bertucci's or any one anymore and ended the call. Anyone who goes there for take out, does so at their own risk. Again, at 2.3 stars out of 5, it cannot just be me.

I got my lunch but was missing the salad. I think the waitress thought my sons salad was mine.

My kids love the pasta !!! Either the old school spaghetti and meatballs balls or if they are feeling adventurous one of the specials…kids love the appetizer sampler and the rolls with oil…

It’s probably best to go in person to pick up an order. The last two times I have ordered delivery there have been missing items. Recently it was a 2 liter bottle of sprite. I called and asked if they could just reimburse me. I was told yes and they didn’t. I won’t order delivery from them again. If you order pick up, check your order too. Twice I had to go back and get missing drinks and sauces that should have come with the appetizers.

Disappointment. Ordered takeout. Food not seasoned, bruschetta chicken was tomatoes and cheese? No flavor, just terrible... for $24.00?! Order said it would be ready for 730, we called they said another 5 to 10 minutes. Waited then went in and was told not ready. 15 to 20 past online quote. I won't be returning.

Writing this review as my waitress disappeared… been a while waiting on her to come back so we called another waitress and she refused to help said we needed to just wait. When the waitress finally shows up, she seems to be in a super rush mode, not even giving us enough time to talk. This service is unacceptable, unfortunately it’s what we deal with these days at Bertucci.

My experience with this Bertucci’s location has been hit and miss (tonight was a clear miss). My two dinner guests said their meals were fine. However, my meal (spaghetti carbonara) had some cold spots and wasn’t overly hot. I was going to send it back for reheating, but our waiter was so sssslllloooowww that would have taken an hour to get it remade. Our waiter was non existent, we felt like we were keeping him from his side work. After we’re done, it was probably 20 to 25 minutes after we were done with our meals to get the check. He did not check on us throughout our meal. I could have used a refill, but the service was so slow it wasn’t that important… but it would have been nice to have the refill. Also, another issue was that our waiter asked for our order a second time. Gee! We have this stuff called pen and paper. You can write stuff and then you do not have to back and ask a second time.As for the atmosphere, the employees were yelling out and calling out, made discussion difficult. If I return to Bertucci’s, it will be another location (North Reading). But, this location just has too many issues.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is not great. First off, their bathrooms require going down stairs. Not sure how they got away with that from the ADA. There are also a small staircase to get into the main dining room. Yes, there is a wheelchair accessible level, but no bathroom. If you are in a chair, I’d recommend another location.
