Bird & Wolf - Café + Bakehouse / Bar + Chop

Had dinner here on a Thursday night. Very quiet, there were only 2 other tables occupied. The decor and lighting inside is amazing. The food was really good (crispy pork belly melts in your mouth). The drinks were strong. It is a little more expensive than your average restaurant, but it translates to quality.It’s a good place for a date. The bar looked nice to get together on the weekends. They had the bruins on which is great.There are live plants all over the walls but the odd thing was that the they had a little plastic succulent on the table. Seemed like the one thing that was off in the entire experience!

This is the best spot in North Andover if you’re looking for a Boston-worthy meal. The service is FAST and friendly. I have had dinner here a handful of times but today I wanted to check out their cafe next door. They have a variety of fresh pastries and coffee + teas. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the paper plate my gorgeous croissant had to sit on :( really just wanted a great photo and the paper plate kind of ruined it for me ?? so silly but it’s the small things! I’ll definitely be back!

Best cuisine in the northeast! Cocktails and desserts are 2nd to NONE!

Great ambiance and great food. This is what the area needed. Upscale dining and drinks. Went there for brunch on Sunday. The bar servers were very knowledgeable.

Way too bright and chaotic. The staff was not prepared for dinner service. I didn’t see any smiles. Food was good but tiny portions and lacking salt in many dishes. Desserts imo were over the top… trying too hard. I’m sorry to say I won’t be back

My wife and I stopped in on a whim a few weeks back. Since then we've been back 3 times. great food (brunch), service and atmosphere.

Overall Amazing dinner. We’ve been looking for a go-to date night spot since moving to Haverhill, and this is the place. Amazing cocktails, excellent food, and a beautiful spacious dining room. Our server Peyton was excellent and timing of courses was perfect. If you are having a hard time choosing, the duck entree is fabulous! Thanks for our first truly great meal since Covid!

Had dinner here for the first time this week and everything was outstanding! We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. Had the butternut squash ravioli which was DELICIOUS and the cocktails were incredible. Our wait staff were super nice, helpful with recommendations, and made sure we were well looked after. Very excited to have a restaurant of this caliber so close to home -- Boston quality dining on our doorstep in North Andover.

Not just pastries! Wonderful creative dinner menu. Was, initially, more vegetable forward, which we liked very much. They have, since, added more meat and fish selections, without sacrificing the interesting veggie dishes. Talk to wait staff about wines.

Great place to relax after work or later. Very friendly bartender. I truly felt relax after a long day at work.

I've been waiting years for a restaurant like this to arrive in the area. It seems like so many of the small independently run restaurants with proper chefs who care about quality have disappeared since I was a kid. Bird & Wolf is just what the Merrimack Valley needed. My first dinner out after 20 months of lockdown was at Bird & Wolf to try it out. I was absolutely thrilled with the level of quality and sophistication in virtually all respects. I I've been back 4 times and tried many things on the menu but my favorites are easily the seared scallops or foie gras torch to start (honorable mention: short rib croquettes). For a main, the duck hands down. It's absolutely superb, and the sides that accompany it are to die for. The short ribs are delicious, but a bit too fatty for my taste. I know many people prefer that so I can't deduct points; just not my thing. Also wonderful is the steak frites. For dessert, no question: the bartlett pear tart is killer. Each time I've been I was accompanied by a vegetarian and she's always been beyond thrilled with the choices. The service is friendly and timely, and they've got a proper sommelier on staff to assist with the large selection of wines and other spirits. If I had any constructive criticism it would be to maybe add a couple more entrées to the menu, particularly under the LAND section. What they have is wonderful, but I'm running out of new things to try and find myself going back to the duck again. Additionally, if you want a proper fine dining experience, request the dining room in the front of the restaurant. If you end up in larger back room, there is a bar with large TVs showing sports. This can provoke loud outbursts from the crowd on occasion, and on my first visit one my friends was completely distracted by the game on tv which the rest of us found slightly annoying. Bottom line: this is my new go-to for special occasions, date night, or just good food that doesn't require the hassle of going into the city. I look forward to going back again and again, and can't wait to see what the future holds for this wonderful new North Andover gem.

I have tried and failed to come up with a single thing I dislike about Bird&Wolf. Ample parking, handsome entryway, genuinely helpful staff, gorgeous high-ceilinged room with great flow and a buzzing bar scene, striking succulent wall, inventive cocktails, superb wine list, delightful server, manageable noise level, and some of the most delicious and inventively flavorful food I’ve had in years. Maybe I’ve been starved for a great night out given the pandemic, but I don’t think so. For any special occasion this is my new go-to.

The food tasted good…but the portions are WAY too small for what we paid. There were many mixups with our food & drinks also. They did comp the desserts, but I won’t be back.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is totally delicious, the ingredients are fresh and tasty and the presentation is beyond expectations. The staff are attentive and very helpful. This is a 12/10 all day long. The knock it out of the park!
