I love Box Seats. It’s the only place I can eat some of my deep fried favorites because of their gluten free menu. The food is good every time I go, and I think the service is better than it was before they closed. I’m very happy they’re open again.
Sixteen of us showed up and were quickly seated. Food was delivered promptly. Hot and fresh. Everyone raved, but GF and non-GF diners. The GF pizza (Hawaiian) and GF onion rings are the best around.
Dietary restrictions: On the best places around for GF.

Here is my experience working at both Boxseats locations in Franklin and in North Attleboro under the owner Charlie (Arthur)
Tgibedes
Within the first few months of working they hired a heroin addict @ north location to manage the restaurant and he robbed the place late at night. I should’ve never went back after that, but I needed the money.
Within a few months of Franklin location opening, they had been in an investigation of sexual assault against the owner Charlie and a bartender whom he hired.
The entire time working there, he was a total creep.
Michelle, the general manager Was the only good thing he had left in that place up until he told her he couldn’t pay her on the books anymore. There is an ongoing civil matter in action as of June 2024 due to him owing her thousands and thousands of dollars. He is in trouble with the government for lying to bankruptcy.
No liquor vendors would sell to us because of the amount of money he owed to them he had to get his liquor from liquor stores. he made us poor gallons of alcohol into fifth of alcohol to put onto the bar illegally.
The cooks were disgusting, smoking cigarettes in the back and not washing their hands, making gluten-free products with gluten, and doing drugs and drinking alcohol on shift was a very normal thing for Boxseats Franklin.
At one point, he was trying to withhold everybody’s checks because he didn’t have enough money for them to all deposit at the same time.
I give it less than a year for both locations to close down for a good :)

Why haven't you come up with a freaking GF mozzarella stick. You got clam cakes, but got rid of our favorite fried clams. Onion strings are awesome. Onion strings aren't gonna keep my coming back. No fried clams, can't do mozzarella sticks, got rid of the complimentary soup. Why should I keep coming back. Loved the previous owners. The new guy is a hustler. We've been coming there for at least 10 years or more. Not sure why we should continue.

The food was very good but the restaurant is in dire need of a deep cleaning, especially the bathrooms. We went early afternoon on a weekday and both bathrooms were disgusting and the main floor was sticky to the point that your shoes made loud noises as you walked. Appreciated the gluten free options for one of our company but we won't come back until this issue is rectified. We were basically the only customers at 1pm on a Friday. That should demonstrate something that the locals already know.

The calamari had zero seasoning and was likely frozen. The service was good.

We came here today to celebrate St pattys day. Went in excited to try this place out, we had been talking about it for a while. When we arrived there were three empty seats at the bar but the bartender proceeded to tell us there was none. We asked about them and she said they had stepped outside. There was nobody outside and no one showed up for a good 20 minutes. She was saving the seats for her friends. Could have just said that. We ordered the potato skins and the calamari. The calamari came out soggy and slimy. We tried to tell the bartender this and she proceeded to give major attitude when we were not being rude. We had one piece and decided it was not something we wanted. She said she would take it off and then proceeded to tell us she gave us a 6.99 discount. I asked why? And she said it’s what you ordered and so that’s what you get. You should have known it was gluten free. How would I have known this…If the menu did not specify ? She then proceeded to talk to all her bar guest about me and my family. To top it off when we left the restaurant her friends that were seated at the bar told my mother that they hope she gets her two front teeth and a few other slurs and the bartender who apparently is also the manager laughed with them. I don’t recommend this place at all. As a person of color it made me extremely uncomfortable and uneasy. Will not be returning and hope that your staff learn manners and the proper way to treat their guest.

Chowder is good. Everything else I’ve ordered here has been overcooked and/or under seasoned. Prices are outrageous?
