I recently went to the brewery with 10 friends for beers and lunch. We all enjoyed the experience immensely. Other than some confusion with the ordering of many flights to a new overwhelmed waiter, which the manager graciously solved, everything was perfect. There was a large selection of beers and delicious food. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap, which very tasty and large enough for 2, that came with the best crispy fries I've had in a long time.

Placed a beer order online and set the pick up time. Drove two hours to pick it up only to find they had not put my order aside and sold it off. I intentionally ordered days in advance because I knew they were likely to sell out soon.It is incredibly frustrating to purchase something already then after a long drive find out everything was first come first serve anyways… why even offer online orders?Only reason this isn’t 1 star is because the beer was worth driving 2 hours to pickup. Too bad all we got was the last can.

This is a wonderful brewpub full of good beers and hearty food. The smokey BBQ brisket paired so well with this flight of beers - and I forgot to take a picture of the brisket ?‍? But trust us and get it. Also, try the Nurse Betty Nitro Bitters if you're into ESB's.

Had an amazing time! The service was great and the food was awesome. Plus, they had a great collection of beers. I highly recommend this place to any beer/IPA lover.

Don't waste your time or money going here. We went out for lunch with my mother and the chicken tenders as an appetizer or overcooked and looked like they were cooked in old grease. The other appetizer of cauliflower and brussel sprouts were overcooked. The shrimp plate that my mother got same thing shrimp way overcooked and looked like they haven't cooked in old grease for $22. My son had the burnt tip mac and cheese with very little pieces of burnt tip in it. My wife and I salads were okay. Staff not very attentive for not being very busy. Had to wait in between a lot. Then when we left they all kind of watched us but didn't remind us that we had left our leftovers still on the table. Not sure I'll ever go back again

Will not be returning. I've been to this establishment a handful of times and always had a fine experience ( service, food). Yesterday a friend and I went for lunch. We waited in an almost empty restaurant for awhile to wait to be seated. When someone finally came out they told us to pick a seat on our own. We waited for a good amount of time to be asked for drinks but were never given menus. Our waitress rudely left to get menus and said nothing when returning with them. After another long wait, a different waitress came back for our order. We ordered a pizza to make it quick as we could tell that service was very slow. We waited an hour for the pizza. No water was offered, no second offer for another drink. No service at all except the empty pizza rack they put on our table after we ordered. I finally had to find a server to inquire about the pizza to which she asked " what was your order?". She then told me the pizza was in the oven and would be out soon. We kindly said we would pay for our drinks and would not be waiting for the pizza as now we had waited 1.5 hours for it. The waitress replied with an " I don't blame you". We paid the check and were given our pizza in a to go box as we were leaving. It was a shame as it was a celebratory lunch we were very much looking forward to. The lack of service, communication, apology and food are all the reasons I'd recommend going elsewhere.

My wife and I went for the first time today. Everything that we ordered was recommended by our server and he was spot on!!! The purple rain cocktail was very tasty and hit nicely. They have cool ranch doritos dusted chicken tenders that are out of this world. To top it off, the Goat sandwich(chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich and brisket sandwich were loaded with flavor and extremely fresh! We will definitely be returning in the near future ??

Refreshing brews, a solid food menu to go along with it, and plenty of room to spread out - what's not to like about Hopothecary? As for the beer, I always appreciate being able to enjoy more than one at once via a flight. The Phantasmic Love Potion NEIPA, Soda Jerk: Pineapple Coconut milkshake IPA, Gold Standard NEIPA, and Remedy 42 NEIPA were alternately and sometimes simultaneously hazy, fruity, milky, and refreshing - exactly the right notes for a warm, rainy summer day. The food was also a pleasant surprise. Although I balked a bit at the $19 price tag of the Tuscan Street Panino, I was rewarded with a huge serving of prosciutto, a nice thick chunk of mozzarella, and a generous amount of sopressata all inside a good-sized baguette. Well worth the spend. A side of onion rings was super fresh - no hint of stale oil - and breaded just the way I like it: not too much as to be crunchy like Cheetos, but not so little or paper-thin as to fall off. Just the right amount. The venue also has lots of space, and service was efficient. My only nit was having left behind my red cloth USB cable, but that's on me. A solid recommendation from a fellow beer lover!

We've been here 4 times and I'm sorry to say the food is mediocre and the wait staff is generally unhappy. The beer is great, that's the only reason to return. Open floor plan and nice layout.

Threw an 85 person party in the event space. Morty made the whole process seamless for me and my guests. Everyone was racing about how good the food was and how much they loved the atmosphere. 10/10 recommend. Laura and Chiara were amazing at the bar and took care of all requests during the event. We will be back!!

Found this place when searching for a halfway meet point and glad I did. Good beer selection, especially the IPAs. I chose a nippy New EnglandStyle IPA that was a reasonable 5.9% ABV so I could have two of them! Thai lettuce wraps were very flavorful, tho the server said there were 4 in the order and we got 3. The brisket sandwich was terrific. I don't think I could possibly order anything but that on a return trip. Tasted like bacon!

We have been there enough. We went tonight service was extremely slow, while restaurant wasn't busy. Not a huge deal because me and wife wanted to relax and kid were happy. Our server dropped a beer soaking my wife and I and kinda laughed. He said sorry that round is on me... or more like you ha ha . Then it became more of a joke as people walking by slipped and commented on the mess. Yes he paid for the round . But the beer hit my young sons food and face but to be joking about it and not even have a manager come and apologize or see what is going on. We likes it but that's our last visit. I will say most times place is on point, and best pizza on north shore. To be fair brisket sandwich and pizza can't go wrong. Just totally turned off on this experienceEdit morty the general manager reached. Great customer service!

We hosted a private event and it went off without a hitch! The team was very responsive to all of our questions and details leading up the event and the day of everyone was super helpful. They checked in multiple times, did everything we asked, the food was delicious and hot. It came out right when we asked for it and it was all gone by the end! We all had a relaxing, fun time because we didn't have to worry about a thing and our guests were happy and full! We will definitely be back!!
