Amazing experience; great prices, good atmosphere, chill music & decor. The food was delicious, well made, generous portions & the service was wonderful. Love this place. Found it because a pretentious cafe on the block was charging a $2 markup on their menu prices with the excuse that “the new menus hadn’t come in” - walked away and found this gem in contrast, so glad that other place sucked! ? Now we know the best in the area! ❤️ The exquisite labneh is gluten free, so you can totally get a gf wrap, no problem, no markup! Friggin awesome! Loads of vegan options. Don’t love that swordfish is on the menu, but I love everything else about this place & the espresso is fabulous. They have beer & coffee, and espresso-based drinks as well.

I stop by here every few years when I pass through the area. I was there about 3 weeks ago and as always the food was great and I will always come back. And the Turkish coffee is absolutely delightful!

Always a reliable place for excellent food. The food seems to be made from scratch with care. I haven't found anything on the menu that isn't unique and delicious. The eating area is cozy and comfortable. Breakfast to dinner you can't go wrong eating here.

Food is generally good, but stay away from the salmon, I really didn't like their salmon omelet. Their dessert crepes are delicious, and my favorite thing to get from here is just any vegetable omelet. Great chai latte too! Service is always slow, though, so make sure you have time to sit down and wait.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and you can also ask them to make some omelets without meat.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.

Got out of there immediately after I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the person at the front asking for my number and if I needed a friend. Beef shawarma tasted like the lunch meet I get at school. Maybe it was good or the service made it taste even worse.

Usually great food and service but what miserable mud golum did you put at the counter on the evening of 1/26? She was clearly not happy to be there nor had any glimmer of personality to be customer facing. Tables were messy and unattended as well.Food is usually on point though.

Excellent food, fairly priced, & friendly, professional, prompt service. The honey balls & sesame pistachio cookie & Naz Naz Moroccan coffee were also delectable. Interior can be a bit tight but the ambiance is warm & cozy, what you'd expect at a cafe in Morocco. Hope to return.

This is the REAL DEAL for North African, MOROCCAN tagine, couscous, harira. Owner from the Sous, s.w. of Marrakesh. Can't speak about dishes that people expect in a "Mediterranean" place that are not natively Moroccan like hummus, falafel, "eastern" stuff like that but I'd bet they're high quality. It's clear the owner, who has been in business for decades, cares about what he puts on the table for customers. Just don't expect quiet. If I lived closer I'd be ordering out from here all the time!

TL;DR: If you have food allergies, beware.I ordered catering from Amanouz's. I have an extremely severe pepper allergy and repeatedly told the owner No Peppers in Anything multiple times when I placed the order. When we picked up the food, the trays on top said No Peppers, so I assumed everything had no peppers. Very Wrong. They had made a small portion of the food with no peppers, but put peppers in the rest. Peppers can/will send me into anaphylactic shock, even the smell/vapor. I opened one tray and my eyes immediately burned and my lips became itchy. I quickly closed it up and one of my colleague's quickly took the food with peppers out.I called Amanouz's and was given the owner's cell phone number to speak with him directly since he stepped out. He argued with me about the No Peppers! His reasoning for disregarding the No Peppers was because people say they have an allergy but really don't like to eat a certain food and it must've only been 1 or 2 people, so making 2 separate things was okay. It took 5 minutes of arguing/trying to explain to him about my allergy, but his mindset is truly horrible. He finally agreed to remake the dishes he put peppers in.We then also discovered that part of our order was missing. My colleague called twice to resolve that and we discovered the owner hadn't called in the replacement order. It took over an hour to get replacement dishes, along with the owner calling me multiple times about ingredients, 2 out of the 3 literally were about different kinds of peppers. It was all very frustrating, stressful, and terrifying due to that blatant disregard for food allergies. It also shouldn't matter if someone orders food without certain ingredients.

The food here is amazing and delicious and should definitely be experienced at least once, which will definitely bring you back multiple times. I want to try at least one of everything on the menu. Their hummus is homemade and always worth any wait in line.

Really great food at a reasonable price. We ordered the falafel and kefta kebab, and then some baklava to go. They were getting ready to close, but we were grateful to get such a delicious meal after a long evening of travel!

Amanouz is a cute little restaurant right on main street in Northampton. It's counter service, so you order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to your table. You also bus your own table! I had some chai, which they bring in a cute silver teapot. There are a ton of veggie options to choose from. I had the falafel pita, which was yummy and filling. I also tried the almond baklava, which I had never had made with almonds before but it was sooo good. Other people ordered dishes with meat and said they were tender and well seasoned. I would definitely come back here! It's a cozy and affordable local spot. I would definitely come back here!
