The food and the atmosphere are both very good, and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. They lean towards a Cajun menu selection, but there are a number of other offerings to choose from as well. They offer a full bar, are handicapped accessible, and their prices are on par with other local eateries. Parking is available on the street and a lot that is right next to them, but it can still be a challenge to find a spot during peak hours.

Great Cajun food in a lovely atmosphere. My favorite is during the summer when Strong Ave is closed and out door dining thrives.

Great atmosphere, excellent food but the best part was our server, Lily. She was genuine, attentive and gave us a spectacular experience. Highly recommend.

Lilli was our server and they were amazing!!!! So polite, patient, and sweet with our chatty group of 9. This was my first time at eastside and I will definitely be back- the cocktails, meals, and dessert were all incredible! I specifically recommend their cheesecake, espresso martini, and steak tip/shrimp meal!

Despite some challenges getting to the restaurant because the road it is on is blocked off for pedestrians only. But that was probably my fault for not checking before we headed off to find the location of the restaurant because next-door to the restaurant if we’d approached from the opposite direction we would’ve found more than adequate parking as it was. We found some parking on the street and fortunately they use Park mobile so it became very easy to pay for thei parking spot meter. The restaurant itself is really nice and because one of our group difficulty walking they allowed us to use the lower level door instead of having to navigate any steps, which was awfully nice. The staff actually kept an eye out for our friend. Adam, our server was very conscientious making sure that we had more than enough time to evaluate the menu check out the specials, answered our questions and when the time came, was very good at getting our orders all in. the service was impeccable. Food arrived all at the same time for the four of us. We had a bottle of wine delivered shortly thereafter, and all in all it turned out to be a very good evening. Two of us had the steak tips one had plus scallops one had steak tips plus shrimp and one of us had the shrimp and scallop pasta plate and I had the 6 ounce tenderloin that I could’ve cut with a fork or a spoon. It was so tender, and I asked for a rare and it came cooked perfectly. It was cuffed with some mashed potatoes and green beans that were done to perfection, still chewy. As full as we were, Adam managed to tempt us with Maple Crème Brûlée’s and Key Lime Pie. All delicious! I look forward to going to this restaurant when we’re in town again!
Wonderful staff, friendly 😀 and patient, alleyway bar and comfortable couch with appetizers, outdoor seating for 9 of us ,completely enjoyable and we all loved our meals, bday 🎂 and ambiance!!!

My dad and I ate here last night before a show at Academy Music. Akasia was our server and we loved her. Our food was the best meal we have ever had together in all of our foodie ventures and we wish it was closer so we could go back. The steak tips were cut in house and resembled filet. The scallops were so good we got a second order. The salad was delicate but really great. My dad got the salmon and he is very picky on salmon, but it was incredible and he was delighted we made the choice to go there. I wish the oysters on the half shell were bigger, but the rest made up for it. My dad is in a wheelchair and everyone was super accommodating. Akasia was on point and knew we had a time crunch and accommodated that and also took some nice photos of us together. Great mock-tails and atmosphere was a 10. Hopefully one day soon we can make it back.
Amazing restaurant highly recommended!

This is a nice restaurant and all expected good food. Appetizers were good (potato cakes and cauliflower). We had to ask for soda and water refills. Salads were fine but nothing special. My own wedge salad with shrimp didn’t arrive until the other entrees and it had brown lettuce and blackened shrimp that had gotten cold, even under a heat lamp. Others had lamb rack, pasta, and beef that they liked. The tips and shrimp I was sharing with a friend arrived with scallops and had to be remade. The kitchen did turn it quickly, and timing suggests that this was the dish with gluten contamination. Once entrees were served, our server mostly disappeared, too. When someone has a severe allergy, whether it be hay fever or gluten or latex, there is no excuse for a store exposing a customer to it through carelessness. Even more, it may reflect the overall care in food handling for all diners.
This is a pricey place. You may have a good experience, like some of my group. You may be sick for 2 days, like me. If you have an allergy and are considering eating here, just ask yourself, “Do I feel lucky?”
I will not ever return.

It was very busy when we went and were promptly seated at our reserved table. From there, service was spotty. Would I try the place again? Yes. Had the mussels with andouille sausages and sliced roasted red peppers. Mussels were plump and tasty. Portion was just the right size.
Dinner was enjoyable. The only issue is limited parking.

They just rolled out their new menu and we had the blackened tuna appetizer and a round of drinks. It had a delicious mango aioli on it and I thought it was cooked perfectly.
My parents thought it was a bit spicy but do not handle spice well.
I love spice and thought it could have used more.
So it's perfect middle ground seasoning.
