Went to Fitzwilly's for lunch during a visit to Northampton. I ordered the wild mushroom grilled cheese, and my friend ordered the Thanksgiving Sammy. Both sandwiches were yummy. Our server was super friendly, and the atmosphere is fun. I would definitely go back.
Fifty one years and counting. A bar/restaurant doesn't stick around that long, especially in a college town, without doing some things right. The menu is far too long. The drinks choice a bit encyclopedic. But it is a cozy and friendly place, mostly moderately priced. At night, probably a no nonsense pub. It's a cold and damp early Sunday afternoon, just before the calendar turns to December. With a bit of white rain, it was good to come into the warm. The Christmas decorations are already up. No brunch offering here, Amen. The choice, hearty sandwiches or heartier dinner dishes, and a few salads. The "shaved prime rib and jus on the side sandwich was decent, the ciabatta role less so. A respectable mug of black coffee, fine for someone not interested in a liquid lunch. A few choices of comfort food desserts, such as bread pudding and a brownie sundae. They are a fixture in downtown Northampton. If not a memorable meal, a decent middle of the road one..
Great find while on our trip through Massachusetts. Service was great as was the food.

Very cool pub like place. My food was really delicious. I got the steak dip sandwich..it was perfect and the fries were tasty too. The blueberry cheesecake was amazing! The corn chowder was ok. I wish it had been a little more creamy. But it was good.

We had lunch there on a Monday and my partner came in a few minutes late which was not a problem with the server. His name was Connor and he was so friendly, accommodating, and efficient! Food is always really good there.

Fitzwilly's has been a decades long staple in Northampton since I was in my twenties. The atmosphere is always casual, warm and friendly. They have a creative menu, full bar, and a good variety of beer. The food has always been reliably good, as is the service. Only limited on street parking, and area parking lots around town. There are stairs at the entrance, so those with mobility issues will be challenged, although in warmer weather there is outside dining in the street.

We returned to Fitzwilly's after 40+ years, still very good. We both enjoyed our food, chicken caprese sandwich and steak tips dinner, staff was efficient. They quickly corrected a mini snafu, omitting a main ingredient from a dish. Fun location in downtown Northampton. Would return next time we're in the Pioneer Valley.
Nice restaurant with some character. The food was very good, service was fairly quick.

We were driving by and stopped for a quick dinner. It was definitely beyond our expectations. French onion soup was so delicious.
