First time here, nice spot along Main Street. Decent Menu, drink side they serve knock off brand liquor, I’m a Jack Daniel’s guy and the waitress got me a well liquor that was suitable so beware of that. Food wise we tried the Crabcakes and Chicken Sausage Jambalaya, both were good. The inside area looked nice and inviting but we chose outdoors for the great weather. Worth a visit if you want to try somewhere new or revisit if you’ve been there before!!
Disappointing experience at Gombo. I ordered a salad with oysters and added a piece of salmon. The salad was tasty; however the salmon was barely warm and the 3 oysters were mushy and hardly warm. I wondered if they had been prepared earlier and set aside. The food at Gombo is usually quite good. Because of diet restrictions I hardly ever eat fried foods. These oysters were to be a treat. They weren't. I had to send the salmon and oysters back to be heated up. They were okay...
Have been to Gombo a handful of times now. Have sat at the bar all of those times. Food is always amazing and drinks are fantastic. My wife and I went for our anniversary on Saturday 5/31 and had the best time. Bartender and other folks sitting at the bar are always fun and conversations are great. Thank you Gombo for a great evening, We'll be back soon!!
