Probably the best brussel sprouts I've ever had and a phenomenal strip steak!

Homestead is one of the treasures of the pioneer valley!
It is not the cheapest place in the valley but everything that touches your plate or glass is worth every penny.
The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive of the atmosphere. They make it a wonderful experience whether as a date night or with my whole family, little kids and all.
The bar program is something very special; providing high quality cocktails and mocktails that often offer a unique twist to the clasics, and the wine list (both by the bottle and the glass) offer a great variety of dependable and delicious traditional wines, along with more adventurous wines that offer an expansive experience.
The food is delicious, I've never had a dish there that wasn't good. But more importantly I've had SO many dishes that were incredible! Not only are they well crafted but they also strike home to the Italian roots of the menu. In the summers when they are able to provide a wonderful outdoor eating environment, it really feels like you might as well be on a piazza in Florence between the music and the wonderful flavors that are gracing the palate.
I know this review probably comes off as exaggerated praise, but truly, of you choose one place to eat in Northampton, Homestead should be it.

We've been here a few times the service is always great. Bartenders and weight staff do a great job. The food is just average overall. Some items are done better than others. The ricotta dumplings are pretty good and you can't find that everywhere. Got olives a couple times and it both cases they didn't seem marinated as much as very briny in flavor. The texture was just off. We've had the chicken a couple of times cooked really well in both cases but the flavors just weren't there. It seems like the two complicated. Do not recommend the duck.
Cocktails have been good and well made.

We ordered cocktails, the kaesar, and the fish entree. The bartender Andy was superb. Described a drink I wanted that wasn’t on the menu and he served it up in a breeze. The food was fresh and delicious. I was impressed by how well seasoned the white fish was.

Food made me sick! Terrible stomach pain within half an hour of dinner here. Something seemed off about the blue fish meal and I am still suffering with wicked stomach pain hours later. I never react to food this way. Expensive as well. And the waitress, though very polite and nice, knew next to nothing about gluten allergies to inform one in our party with celiac disease. Bad experience. The only good dish at the table tonight was the delicata squash appetizer. Northampton really needs better quality food options and needs chefs aware of gluten sensitivity as so many are afflicted with this allergy. **** Also, the menu pictured here is NOT the menu they are using right now. ****
Sit at the bar, have a unique *bespoke* cocktail, contemplate the marvel of life in discussion with the bartenders, and have some idiosyncratic pasta dish with seafood. You'll be glad you did.

The Bar tender with the pop tart tattoo is a wet dream.
Better food descriptions would be helpful. The bitter pasta had no sauce and was truly bitter, mostly our group enjoyed their food.

Incredible. Everything about this place start to finish is amazing. From the fantastic bartenders to the ever-changing and updating menu with fresh items and new things to consistently try. I’ve been here a handful of times since I’ve come to the area about three months ago and every time it never lets down.

Absolutely amazing! The service was spot on and very pleasant staff. We sat outside which reminded me of dinning in spain. The food was in two categories small plates or large. We got two small plates and two large. The tastes and preparation of the chief and his staff was incredible! It's a must try if you have never been. We will be back!
