Tiny customer space, but the best bread ever. Unfortunately, it's mostly gone every time I go! :)

Instead of Hungry Ghost I've always called it "Holy" Ghost because this bakery is a religious experience!

Best bread I’ve ever experienced! I drive an hour every few weeks to stock up my freezer and probably eat it every day. My favorite so far is the Country bread, but all are great Love the cookbook too, very interesting and enjoyable read for anyone who bakes bread.

Excellent breads. Limited availability. Call for baking times

I have been told by two different people that this bakery adds additional baking soda to the dough so that the owner does not have to come in early. As a result, the bread tastes acidic badly disguised behind whole wheat flour. I truly hope this is false at these prices.

Wonderful sourdough bakery. Great items to purchase, and if you want some of their starter, they will happily give you some for you to take and nurture for your own baking. I also recommend buying their book, The Hungary Ghost Bread Book. Informative and full of recipes.

These people are amazing. saying bread is good is not doing it justice. Worth every penny and the wait if need be. I travel 25 min almost every week to get some. Don't forget to get a cookie or pretzel for ride home!

Always on point. The Country bread is my favorite! Also the vegan cookies (especially chipotle chocolate!) are delicious ?

Very good bread, best around that I have found.
But it is hard to get it. They may close hours earlier than the posted hours. Frustrating when you drive a 30 minute detor to get the bread and there is none.

I really wanted to like this place since I walk by it practically every day, but the taste and texture were just iffy at best. Also, what’s with all the uninformed politicizing?! Fortunately Woodstar is only a 2-minute walk away.
