That was the best focaccia bread I’ve ever had. I was it enjoying so much I forgot to take a picture!
Service was eh, the person gave me my stuff and that was it. Not friendly, but I still highly recommend this place, quite pretty and cozy, with DELICIOUS bread!

The store is dimly lit at best, at least as of 2pm when I went, staff did nothing more than point to a rack with 4 loaves on when I asked what was available today, I tried to lighten the sour mood with small talk & was grey rocked only to finally get home and find they sold me a burnt loaf in the dark

Everything we got here was surprisingly delicious! We tried the cheddar biscuits, cowboy cookie, beet & chard pie, cinnamon pretzel, and my favorite the chicken empanada. All so good and freshly made. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Excellent bread -- I particularly recommend their rosemary loaves -- but at $9 a pop, pretty dern pricey even for Northampton. I've taken to getting their loaves instead at the Tuesday farmers' market between Thorne's and the parking garage, where with the doubling of SNAP benefits, I can get a loaf for effectively $4.50.

They were less than thinking about the homeless community and denied a homeless couple a loaf of bread.

Got a loaf of their potato fougasse and a couple cookies to say goodbye to my first-year Smithie after moving her in nearby. The cookies did not last long. That fougasse became holy manna/communion for my two day drive home and first day back to work. I am now a devotee of fougasse, and a disciple of the Hungry Ghost.

This is one of those very special places that makes a community. High quality breads, a delightful garden and gathering space out front, and big hearted owners!

One of my treasured memories from about 15 years ago was when I had stoped in to warm up during a cold snap (you can always bet on it being toasty in there!) on my walk home with my two year old after a morning at the Northampton parents center. Jonathan offered me a free loaf hot out of the oven to warm us up, and I was so touched by that simple gesture of compassion. I tucked that paper bag with the warm loaf right into the carrier between us and it made all the difference.

Great bread and great vibes. How they keep the bread at 7$/loaf I don’t know.
