Everything was delicious, especially home-made jelly and corned beef hash! You'll love it! Yum yum!! Great service, too.

Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. (I had mine with bacon.) Whoever came up with the idea of making a jumbo sized English muffin is a genius. Lovely service.

The food is excellent but the service we received today was just atrocious from beginning to end. After a 40mn wait outside, It started with us being seated right by the front door on a freezing day with customers coming in and out every 2 minutes. We only had glasses of water and menus when the table next to us left. That table was way more protected from the wind coming in so we asked if we could move to that table. The woman behind the counter completely dismissed my question and just blew me off saying that changing tables was not allowed in this restaurant. A few minutes later an extremely strong smell of chemicals started coming from the basement stairs (which were right next to us as well). We all started tearing up and we truly thought someone sprayed mace, but when we asked we were told they were cutting onions downstairs. Not sure how much they were cutting to make that smell so powerful.... The same woman said there was nothing they could do about this either. All the tables around us were also complaining about the same thing. Then our food arrived, we ordered 3 eggs Benedict and every single one of them only had hollandaise on 1 of the two eggs. We mentioned that to the waiter ( who we had to wave at since he did not check on us a single time) and he said he would get us more. Our eggs were getting cold at this point and still no sauce in view.... I had to get up to investigate and saw the 3 tiny cups on the kitchen counter just waiting there.... When we received the bill we were charged $9 for the hollandaise as well as 18% gratuity. When the waiter came to get my card, I mentioned that I would not be paying the gratuity as the service we received was less than satisfactory. The same woman (apparently the "manager") came right to the table and was extremely aggressive telling me that we would be banned from coming back to Jake's and paying the tip was mandatory since they had a piece of paper taped on the wall saying that parties of 5 or more would have an 18% added to the bill and we had to pay it. Pointless to say we will not be going back to this place.

No problem with service. Jake's is a rather dimly lit place, which is fine, but the lackluster cleanliness is off-putting. (Floors, tabletops looked as though they were washed but not rinsed. I didn't want to touch the table top.). The food we ordered was fried eggs over light with home fries and a coffee. My partner ordered the salmon topped Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were not hot - my eggs (over light) were room temperature and potatoes were not all completely cooked through. It appeared that the plate of food sat on the counter before getting to our table for too long (it's a very busy place). My partners' Eggs Benedict was also layered with cold items (a tomato slice (white in the center) was as if straight out of the refrigerator, the sauce not warm and the bread was as hard as a rock under it all. To top it off, the coffee was very weak - nearly 'coffee-flavored water'. The blueberry pancake did pass my partners muster - not sure about it's temperature. Big disappointment for a $50. breakfast. Las time we'll go there.

Great place for eggs Benny. Good comfort food. Authentic diner. Daughter loved the pancakes. There can be a long wait time, plan ahead.

Food was great, they didn't have any gluten pancake mix or gluten free bread but they made my meal gluten free. It was really good and I recommend ot.

I have never visited this restaurant in person, but I order from here all the time. I've never had a less-than-stellar experience with the food, which is always satisfying. If I have one complaint, it would be that you don't offer larger sizes of coffee but I really love coffee. Heh.

And my cat wants me to tell you that you have the best brown paper bags for delivery of all the local restaurants. They are her favorite to sleep and play in.

This place has a full service bar, excellent food selections and specials, and a professional wait staff that moved incredibly quickly and efficiently like a well oiled team. We stopped on the way through to CT from NH. Parking was a bit of an annoyance, but I think that can mostly be chalked up to not knowing the area.

The 20 minute wait for the table wasn’t the problem. The problem started as soon as we walked in with the hostess and our server, who as 2 people who work there should’ve been more attentive? The hostess brought us into the seating area & then pointed over to our table at the end of the wall & said “over there”. We waited 15 minutes for our server to actually greet us after he saw us sit down at his section as soon as we got there, then he proceeded to take 2 other people’s orders as they sat down minutes after us, we were still ignored. He couldn’t even bother to greet us or ask if we wanted a drink. We got up and left after this being our first new stop in exploring a new City. Great looking place wasted with an unprofessional team.

Sorry but this place is a solid 3. I was excited to try it because of the reviews but it felt rushed and it was disappointing. We got the Shakshuka and the Eggs Beside Themselves or whatever it's called (it's with the pulled pork and potatoes). I've had way better Shakshuka. This felt just lazy - like pour the can of tomatoes in, add some feta cheese and throw some eggs on top. The other dish was probably worse - it's too acidic and lemony - that does not make potatoes taste better. And it was mostly just potatoes.
I get restaurants are struggling but I would rather just cook at home if this is the quality I'm going to get.

Really good food. Staff is really friendly. Not your usual breakfast place. My favorite is the Korean breakfast burrito!

Edit: owner called me shortly after my initial review to apologize, offer additional compensation, and to let me know he was having kitchen staff go through all their produce. He seemed genuine in his apology, and I'm hopeful that my partner and I will be able to try their food again in the future. From what he said, they receive their produce pre- washed, and will be rewashing anything they get in the future just to be safe.

My partner and I usually really love the food here, especially the 3-seed sourdough. Unfortunately, the most recent time we ordered food from here via doordash there was a pretty big bug larvae that we could see was cooked in with the rest of my food. I understand that accidents happen and working with fresh veggies runs the risk of the occasional bug, but the size of the thing made us concerned about how it went unnoticed. Hopefully this was a one off and the resturant works on its quality checks, but we will likely not try their stuff again for a while.

Food is delicious, atmosphere was a bit dark and felt unclean, service was pleasant although lacked cadence, waiter didn't offer coffee refil and forgot sticky bun we ordered. Food was the stand out for sure.
