My first trip here , but my wife grew up near it and had fond memories. Very friendly staff and my Monte Cristo was very good. Excellent old diner vibe with good solid menu choices. Well crafted foods and homemade sodas make for a filling lunch or breakfast. Don't miss out , go here!

I'm a big fan of diners, especially the classic sort, so a few years ago on my way back from VT, when I was looking for a place to grab lunch, I found Miss Florence.
It has everything I love about a classic diner. The booths have jukeboxes, the diner itself is an old train car, and it still has a lovely vintage feel to it.
I'm typically a breakfast girl, so I've pretty much stuck with getting eggs. I've eaten here multiple times over the years, and the food is always consistent.
The scrambled eggs are on the fluffier side. The home fries are well spiced and crispy but soft. The toast is nicely toasted and well buttered.
My kids get fries, bacon, and pancakes. From the photo, you can see the pancake is ENORMOUS. I've sampled it, and it's a perfect buttermilk pancake, nice and fluffy and very tasty.
The fries are a huge portion, always cooked to perfection. If you love crispy bacon, you'll love the bacon here.
Additionally, in the past, we've had the burger, and it was delicious as well.
Service has always been very good, though it can take a minute if you come through during rush times as the place gets crowded. It's absolutely worth the wait, though.
I can't say I have any complaints beyond having had to wait in the past at lunchtime on a Sunday.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat free options, including all day breakfast.
Dietary restrictions: My child has dairy/ nut allergies, and they are careful with food prep.
Parking: Large lot in the back
Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly

Miss Florence Diner is ICONIC! I started going there during my first year in the Valley when I was in my first year at Hampshire College, and I became a regular.
As a Brooklyn, NYC boy I am VERY PARTICULAR about my Diners. Miss Florence ticked ALL the boxes for me! ?
The food at Miss Florence is very good, BUT, The Whatley Diner (now Nouria) out by I-91 and Jake's in Downtown Northampton are both just SLIGHTLY better in terms of food, but this is only my subjective opinion. Enjoy! ?

My wife had the meatloaf sandwich which was so big she brought home half of it and had another meal the next day. My corned beef on rye sandwich was excellent. The corned beef was nice and lean, and I had it heated with just mustard on it. It was excellent. We both had mashed potatoes which tasted homemade and delicious.

I went in expecting diner food and diner service for a diner price, and that's more or less what I got, until I got the check -
$50? For what? My eggs came with a single piece of toast cut in half, my girlfriend got a single pancake and the 2 ounces of maple syrup was $4 extra.
Ridiculous.

Went in for dinner tonight ! Dinner is only monday-wednesday nights, but it was a great choice! Our server was knowledgeable and extremely pleasant, anticipated our needs! We had 3 entrees, large portions, roast turkey dinner, chicken parm dinner and chicken fried steak !!! Enough for lunch and dinner the next day ! And don't forget to get yourself a slice of blueberry pie ! Georgie, the owner, is a fabulous hostess to her guests at the diner !

Great diner. Expect a diner and you will be thrilled. Great, friendly service. I asked for 2 pancakes and the waitress asked if I was sure. Couldn't finish the one pancake ?
