I went for dinner with some girlfriends. We all got hibachi and sushi - good portions, good food, employees were very nice. I was a bit shocked that they automatically add 18% gratuity to all checks and if you want to do an additional tip it needs to be cash. It was convenient and it ensures a good tip, I just wish I had known prior since I would’ve brought cash as well.

Still the freshest sushi in Northampton. Solid portions and reasonably priced. The service can be a little hit or miss. Decent hibachi is a plus when one of you wants sushi but the other doesn't.

Had an enjoyable dining experience at Osaka in Northampton, MA with a friend! ? The ambiance was inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. We indulged in a variety of sushi rolls and were impressed by the freshness and presentation. The Loveboat for 2 was a standout, giving us an awesome experience of sampling and trying together.While the overall experience was delightful, I'm leaving it at 4 stars as there's always room for improvement. Nonetheless, Osaka is a solid choice for a sushi outing in Northampton. ? Will definitely be back to explore more of their menu! #OsakaNorthampton #SushiAdventure
Party of 7 hibachi. Started out great with good food and service. We were still eating and had full drinks, and a young man who was very rude came over with our checks and shoved bags in our faces and took several of our guests plates of food and started packing it up. We had only been there for 1 hour. The whole experience was very rushed. I did bring this to the attention of the manager.
OSAKA IS NOT SAFE WITH ALLERGIES, and the service is entirely irresponsible.We ordered drinks, and I engaged with the waiter in a communication about what food would be safe for me. I told him I have celiac disease, and need to be gluten free. I also told him that I realize the food is prepared in the same kitchen where gluten is handled, so I understand there will be traces of gluten in the food. Howeveer; I need to know that the ingrediences in my food are gluten free. His answer came in the following form: ”I cannot promise anything, and if you feel it’s safe then order it. If you feel it’s not safe then don’t.” SERIOUSLY?? Safety is NOT a matter of ”feeling”!This is totally unacceptable. It’s the responsibility of the establiashment to know what the ingredients are in the food they serve. At Osaka they had no clue, and we wisely took our business elsewhere.The interior is also sadly on the cheap side, with glaring lights that give the place a feeling if an overlit sports arena. If that appeals to you this is your place.Dietary restrictions: Osaka has no clue about safety with regards to allergies.
