A small coffee house with good coffee, great lattes, and wonderful staff. While there are a few seats outside, this is definitely a take out location (or order ahead and pickup). For those ordering at the counter, the wait time for your drink is good. I really enjoy their version of a pumpkin spice latte.

We've stopped in a couple of times on our way through town. Food and drink have been great. The only complaint this time is we ordered hot and got iced but not a huge deal, still very good. I see a few bad reviews from people with only one review on their profile and it's for this business. I tend to disregard those and give the place a try.

Great little coffee shop! Service was great, the people are so nice! I went here twice during my 3 day trip to the area. My iced latte was good, the breakfast sandwich delicious, but the pastries are probably my favorite. The raspberry and cheese or cherry and cheese danish's were absolutely perfect.

Visiting from out of town and was happy to find a local coffee shop! Service was quick, many selections to choose from, and the cafe mocha was delicious!

This place is filthy and has black mold all over the place. The sandwich they made me was inedible, and the coffee made me spit it out. I can't believe I wasted my money. Also, as a black woman, I did not feel comfortable or safe being in that type of environment. The staff was terrific except for the one calling themselves manager.

The manager at this location is vile and condescending. The other staff who worked there were excellent and did their job well. Pastries were very dry, which is crazy for how much they sold them. The coffee tasted like poor, undrinkable filth, and it cost 10$. I'd instead go to the Roost. Better food and better management. It had a lot of racist undertones from what I heard about the management.

I heard from a past employee that mold is growing throughout the store. They also fired their only black employee who worked there for three years because the racist manager was angry that they reported the mold to the health department. There is also a hostile work environment created entirely by the upper management.

My daughter loved her smoothie. But the brewed coffee was not hot and the americano was on the weak tasting side.

Coming at this as a former barista with a background in the service industry, and not some bootlicking corporate goody two shoes who can’t handle a lively discussion of Nietzsche’s finer points with some anprim postmodernist coffee warrior blasting Skinny Puppy at full volume to communicate healthy levels of antiestablishment fervor. And I’m also down with the giggle bunnies, and I don’t absolute hate all squares, cos I’d ultimately just like people to get along & be chill in this polarized time. What I universally love is coffee shops and little cakes. This place came recommended by a friend, so I went in today around noon, stoked to check out a new spot.Said hi to the black-haired barista like a human. Nothing back. Just a dead-eyed stare. Drip coffee was $3-4 based on size. That was a little steep. Place smelled like chemical pastries, acidic burnt coffee & old bread. Not much in the way of places to sit. Felt cramped. Yeah, there was parking - that’s about the best I can say. I started to order a coffee, but this greasy bad tempered barista was just so cold to the point of rudeness, I don’t know if they were just having a bad day or if they just really hate their job or what, but damn, why take it out on a stranger? I entered in a great mood, jazzed to get coffee & a cake and say hi to a buddy who worked there (wasn’t there today) & this fool’s attitude was just sucking all the oxygen out of the already smelly place with overpriced coffee. I walked out mid order because the vibe sucked. Maybe they were on the spectrum or something, but I honestly don’t care - if that’s the case, get a different job that accommodates the basic empathy restrictions. Worst barista ever. Worst coffee shop. Except for the creepy one I used to work out where this awful dude was extorting illegal immigrants who lived upstairs into slave labour via blackmail back in SF, but I digress. This is literally the next worst.(I don’t even count Starbucks or Dunkin, because 1 is a fraud, the other is just its “Friends In Low Places” cousin but still a blighting Death Star against small businesses & actual quality. And yet this place smelled like a Starbucks.)

God, how I missed Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters! I used to visit the one on Route 2 near Shelburne Falls, but it's been over 10 years since I've been in that area. I forgot that Northampton has not one but two locations. I visited the one on King Street, and the nice human behind the counter listened to me rave about how much I missed SFCR and their coffee. The place is small but so cute and easy to get in and out of from King Street. I highly recommend their coffee. I live in CT now, about two hours away, but will definitely be ordering some beans on their website. Nothing like a fresh cup of Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters coffee! I'll be back.
