Great service and amazing baked goods. We had the apricot danish and the pecan sticky bun and they were so good we returned for some tarts to take home - lavender lime and Boston cream tarts. My daughter got the cold brew with coconut syrup and really enjoyed it.
the pictures look great and the workers are very sweet. but every pastry i’ve gotten here has seemed stale and dry, maybe sitting out for a while? i was disappointed by the chocolate croissant, which was hard and the chocolate was chalky
Delectable!

Paid over $5 for a croissant and found it burnt and cold.
Edit: I know a former cashier of Tart and checked out what female employees were writing about the head baker there on Indeed. I definitely would not patronize any business with a toxic and harassing work culture.
$6+ Croissant. Waa smaller then a tennis ball. Overcooked.

The lemon bars were simply heavenly. The best I've ever eaten. I don't live in Northampton, but am looking forward to visiting again!
We always love to discover new, wonderful patisseries when we travel. Tart Baking Co is delightful! They have delicious strong coffee! We loved our cappuccinos! ☕️ the croissants ? were great! They have amazing Pain Au Raisin and Monkey Bread ? The sandwiches looked delicious! Service was quick, polite and laid back. Very cool vibe! Only a few tables and no dedicated parking. Street parking was easy and you can use an app to pay. No bathroom on premises. Delightful bakery!

I live out of town. Five years ago when I would visit Northampton and Tart Bakery, the pastries were excellent. They were obviously made with good quality ingredients: milk, cream, eggs and butter as the recipe called for. More recently, however, there has been a tremendous deterioration in quality. The pastries are expensive but they taste like commercial products--no better than what you would get at the Big Y or Stop and Shop. They are hardly worth eating. It is a shame that the bakery has cheapened their product so much in order to make a few extra dollars.

Was looking forward to a coffee and a pastry. I walked in lights were on door was unlocked and they informed me that they weren’t open even though the stickers on the door said they’ve opened 20 minutes prior. This is the second time this has happened. Both times I felt like I was the inconvenience by how they reacted to me walking in and also treated me.

I like the drinks from Tart. I have come here many times for coffee. Recently I have started to try the food and pastries. I was a bit disappointed by the ham and cheese sandwich. It didn’t look appetizing and it was cold. The server also forgot about my order and I had to remind them. I did like the croissant, though. The space is small and there is no seating.

We've enjoyed Tart baked goods in the past but had a disappointing experience this time. Olive ciabatta - bought for a special Easter dinner - had no more than two olives in the entire loaf and was nearly flavorless. The cookies we bought were rock hard. We wanted to get the sourdough round but it looked so overbaked - burned really - that we ended up going to a bakery nearby for that. Maybe it was an off day?
I found this lovely bakery offering yummy ? goodies. I bought a garlic biscuit and a latte. Both were good.

One of the worst cakes I’ve ever had. It was the coconut cloud cake. The frosting was supposed to be vanilla buttercream but the texture was like shortening. Everyone seems to love the bread and pastries so maybe just stick with trying those.
Dear Tart/Catalpa Coffee, I was a regular at CatalpaCoffee for years but because of your reduced evening hours have had to switch to Ana Banderia on Main St. I am there now and it is bustling and full of customers at 6:16 pm on a cold Thursday in February. It makes me sad that Catalpa is not open and bustling as well.
