Tellus & the Satellite Bar

Me and some friends wanted to try somewhere new so I decided on this place but we got in paid, made our way to the bar but it was so busy we all decided just to leave and go elsewhere. It was great that was busy and popular but it was so packed you couldn't see the floor.

Food is great. The service last night was awful. We were seated and left to sit for 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Waited another 20 minutes for our drinks. Eventually we flagged another waiter to come take our orders. It made us feel like such a burden and honestly made it hard to even enjoy the food or experience.

The security guy who was charging the entrance fee 02/23/2025 and we were paying the $6 for 2 entrance, attacked me just because, showing his discrimination and hostility and aggression against an unarmed woman and at the first moment mistreated me and attacked me. I called the 911 and filed out a police report and i will proceed in court

They picky and choosey was her with a friend and they acted out on me for her actions after a week pier

A place that reinvigorated my hope in downtown Northampton when it was at its lowest.

In a sea of closing classics and slipping standards, Tellus is redefining what downtown can stand for. Insanely reasonable prices (especially for Noho), innovative (without being obnoxious) drinks, and bar food that doesn't take itself too seriously, but will knock you back with every bite.

We needed this place so bad and I'm so stoked to see it BUMPING on a Wednesday evening at 5pm. Keep it up y'all. Go patronize this place forever please.

Friendly staff!

Nice menu, fun atmosphere, but it’s way too loud and the servers have an attitude. Last New Year’s Eve we made a reservation and got there only to find that the restaurant didn’t have our name down for some reason. Rather than trying to work things out with us they just rolled their eyes and blew us off. Then tonight I had specifically requested a table outside or at the bar, but they put us in the very noisy dining room, and when I asked to be relocated, we got , “sorry we’re way too busy.” We ended up leaving before ordering. This place has great potential but they need to learn about customer service.

Great eclectic small menu offerings. Prices are extremely reasonable. Food and cocktails are innovative and terrific.

Very nice and friendly atmosphere.
It's become our go-to place in the Valley.

PS: they operated as a night club late Friday & Saturdays and some of the poorer reviews are for that.

Parking: It's Northampton. Parking is really not a problem.

This is a great, hidden jewel of a restaurant and bar.. Located in downtown Northampton across from the parking garage, it also has outdoor dining available. Reservations are recommended, but there are seats at the bar. The menu is small but mighty, and we enjoyed all of our choices. We started with the bartender creating a cocktail based on some suggested flavor profile, and he made a real winner. We ordered corn bread and cauliflower tacos as our starters. Then, we had a smash burger and mushroom with arugula pizza (aka the Baystater). We finished by choosing the Yuzu cheesecake as our dessert. We agreed that it was all great. I am looking forward to bringing others here. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there...

Fantastic food, no matter what you order. First rate pizzas, Korean fried wings Vietnamese-style eggs rolls,27-hr simmered Pho. And, to top it off, killer mixed drinks. I must highlight Christina, our server, who was exceptional. Do ask for her area when being seated. This place is a treat all around. Only drawback: tge brick walls, while atmospheric, make for a high decibel level. Highest recommendation.

Parking: Paid parking garage adjacent, very inexpensive.
