The Barb & Olive at Northampton Bicycle

We've hosted both a graduation party and, more recently, our engagement party at The Barb & Olive and can't say enough great things about this space and the staff! Leila, Kit, and their whole team are so enthusiastic and accommodating, and the space itself is intimate and refined. They helped with setup and cleanup, gathered our input on the drink selections and even included our party logo on the printed menus––and our friends and family are still talking about the delicious, unique cocktails and mocktails and the friendly, warm service. Thanks to this venue and crew for helping us celebrate these milestones!

My husband and I hosted our wedding welcome drinks at The Barb & Olive. Leila and Kit were so easy and fantastic to work with, helping to accommodate a one drink/guest drink ticket system and adding custom mocktails to our bar menu. The unique bar was cozy and a fun surprise for our guests who didn't expect the bar to be literally inside the bike shop. We can't recommend the bar enough, and the venue as a hosting spot for any smaller events! Thank you Leila and Kit for the wonderful experience.

Sweet spot, perfect for smaller get togethers—had a couple dozen people for a birthday party. Kit and Leila are very friendly and helpful, super accommodating, made everything go just as planned, no surprises!

I hosted a small 90s themed 30th birthday party here, and it was an absolute dream come true. Kit and Leila were amazing during the planning process, and I thoroughly enjoyed having Kit at the party!

Northampton Bicycle just got even better. They knocked down the wall, cleaned up the former Hugo's location, and opened a bar that is more of a social hangout than typical, dimly lit, music dominated space.They have rotating local craft beer, cider, wine and non-alcoholic options. They have pre-packaged snacks and a loose bring your own hot food policy.They typically stay open 6 PM until 9 PM, remaining flexible if the demand is there or if there is an event/group ride going on.Leila, Adele, Scott, Rhys, Leigh, Neal, and Emma are some of the most genuine, down to earth people I know. Half the reason I go is to have a good conversation. If you're not the conversation type, there are two large screens often featuring cycling events (or whatever you want to watch, they will put it on)!This is the best bar in Northampton, hands down. Please come by and say hello! You won't be disappointed and you certainly won't be forgotten.P.S. If you end up having questions about bikes or want to see something on the shop side, it's totally cool! The bar and shop are not mutually exclusive.
