A must stop if you're in the area. This place has delicious food, sweets, and coffee. We had the quiche with a latte one day and an egg sandwich the next. Great quality and friendly staff.

I LOVE the food here! However, it was already quite expensive and they’ve just raised the prices. Do yourself a favor and don’t order the mac & cheese. It’s delicious but it went from $6.50 to $9.50 overnight; and the last time I ordered it, the container was only 2/3 full.

The service was nice and quick. A good little selection of drinks and food items. Everyone seemed to be studying or meeting with a friend. The vegan tempeh was plentiful! Very good at first but after about an hour, the buffalo sauce was completely absorbed into the tempeh and we ran out of dipping sauce. The cucumbers were very fresh and good ! I'd recommend sharing it and ordering more hot sauce. It was a cozy upstate vibe and I would come back again.

This place is one of those local cafes with cozy ambiance, artsy clientele, and local happenings posted on the wall. I had driven from Worcester to Northampton for an appointment, and afterwards I wanted some coffee and a bite to eat before heading back. It looks like just the place to relax and recharge before getting back on the road. I ordered coffee and a grilled cheese sandwich. The coffee was served to me lukewarm. I asked them to heat it up, and they did, but really they should have offered to brew me a fresh pot. As for the grilled cheese? Where do I begin. Stale bread from a pre-cut loaf, and a pitiful amount of cheese. I couldn't tell you what kind because it didn't taste like anything. This "meal" set me back almost 14 bucks with tip. If this thing cost more than a dollar to make I'd be surprised. I thought of sending it back but I was exhausted and hungry and I had a long drive home. So I ate it and left. On the way home I needed gas, so I stopped at a Cumberland Farms. While I was there I bought a piping hot a cup of coffee and two fresh, cheesy slices of pizza. This cost a whopping $4.80. No tip necessary. I should have come here first.

100% recommend the roost. It's a classic Northampton establishment I have been there countless times. Today I went and got the itty bitty - so delicious and an iced matcha. The only thing id like to see that most cafes have is simple syrup and cinnamon on deck. They don't have milks out which isn't as necessary but may be nice too. It seems like they're trying to keep things simple so I understand not having milks out but maybe the syrup and cinnamon would be nice. They have some games and we played cards DISCLAIMER- when I say "on deck" I mean at the condiment station with the sugars and stuff

Purchased the carrot cake. Way too much icing vs cake. The ratio is just odd so the sweetness of it is simply overwhelming. I would never buy it again unless they change how it’s made. I do not recommend it. I will say that it looked good but in this case looks were quite deceiving.

Used to be great but quality is getting iffy. Slow and confusing service, often undrinkable espresso, and weirdly bad music. That all said, they still have the best blueberry muffin in town

The quiche was only just okay and the salad was really disappointing. Under different circumstances I would have sent it back. The avocado was skimpy and with many brown spots and the tomatoes were bad. It seemed like they had been in a too cold refrigerator, maybe frozen? Tasteless and with a strange texture. The African Peanut soup was perfect and desserts were awesome.

9am 11/5I Was just flat out ignored by the cashier after my girlfriend placed her order. I was next in line politely waiting. Server came back with her order and walked away. Guy behind me was immediately taken care of after I finally decided to walk away from being ignored.I get that NOBODY gets paid well enough these days and work sucks. But what the hell was that?

I work in Northampton & have been a customer. Visited today and ordered a large coffee. Not a member and didn't "sign in". Gave the waitress a tip. When I read the screen it said: "Old Dude - large black coffee!" I told the waitress that I did not appreciate the description and was sorry that I had left a tip! I thought Northampton was a bit more "respectful". I will not be back!
