I found this place on a whim, and it's SUPER CUTE! Such a fun atmosphere, like a tiki coffee shop. Being winter now, it was fun to walk in and feel like I was somewhere tropical. The staff are so kind and accommodating, and the coffee is tasty! If you’re in the area, definitely check them out:).

Expensive: $15 for a plain grilled cheese (just bread and Swiss cheese ) and a (small) cup of tomato soup. The sandwich, despite being on thick Texas toast, was rather small, and the flavor nothing to praise; at that price, I was expecting at least some nice sourdough bread, or even brioche, but this tasted like plain white bread. The tomato soup was one of the blandest I have ever had and I almost sent it back, but there was no point in making a fuzz over something the counter person could nothing about, thank fully they had some salt I could add (no hot sauce for some reason). They do not have soft drinks for sale which is strange since I can't be the only person who wants a diet soda.

This is a great place for coffee and they make a particularly good chai. My only criticism is that I’ve noticed that despite their hours listing that they close at 5 PM, sometimes the young folks that work there will close a little early. A few times now I have arrived at 4:45/4:50 hoping to just grab a quick snack or drink before a nearby exercise class. The door has been locked and I’ve seen the staff walking to their cars. This is really annoying and quite frankly a bit unprofessional given that the stated hours are that they are open until 5 PM. So in my opinion they should NOT be closing or leaving early! Most other establishments that I frequent keep their doors open until the actual listed time that they close. So if this early closing continues to happen at LaLaJava, I will be purchasing my coffee elsewhere.

Did a morning cars & coffee event here - plenty of parking, cute place with a great vibe - nice, friendly and helpful staff greet you with genuine smiles. Bought coffee beans and they ground them for me, got a coffee and corn muffin on the grill - both were perfect. 10/10 for me - will return again.
Almost $6 for tons of ice and little juice. This cali cooler was over in just a few sips. Ad coffee, loud place and oddly arranged seating, no WiFi. Good sandwiches. Overrated. Edited to add after business response: I ordered another cali cooler and specifically asked for “v little ice”. It comes with a ton of ice again, I took a sip before I noticed the amount of ice, then noticed my order request was not addressed and I requested them to reduce the amount of ice. The girl looked a little uncomfortable and basically dumped out some ice and probably diluted the drink with water to make up for lost volume and gave it back to me. The drink now tasted v different and less sweet than before. So undoubtedly these guys cheat when it comes to the actual quantity of their drinks, esp the coolers. Sandwiches are still bomb, I’ll never order another drink from you again.
