No one was there!! Friday night and I felt like the bachelor on a private date. Service was excellent! Sushi was good. I have to leave this to you to decide?

Came here on a recommendation and so glad I did! This place is a gem! Food super fresh and made to order. Crab Rangoon- light, airy, and oh so tasty. Rainbow and spicy crab were also both a hit. Service is first rate. It was a tremendous experience and will return often.

Pleasant decor and very quiet inside, great for conversation. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. Food was delicious. Price was mostly on par with other options, everything is expensive lately.

This is our go-to sushi/Japanese in town. While not as trendy and fancy as other Sushi place up street, Mikaku is always a good experience. Owner/chef very friendly and personable.

Welp, still looking for my sushi place. Highly disappointed. Food was horrible. Sushi rice should be sweet and vinagery. The rice here was bland and just boiled and that's it. No salt. The spicy tuna wasn't mixed with mayo and the salmon nigiri was very bland. We received strange flavored sauces with our sushi too. A sauce that was mixed with cloves and Cinnamon, but tasted very strange. My girlfriend literally ran her mouth under the faucet after trying it. Maybe it was a bad night considering all the good reviews, but we won't be back. Overpriced too.

Been here lots of times. It’s nice to sit in for a quiet, calm atmosphere. The sushi and maki are fresh and delicious. Pork belly ramen with the soft boiled egg very tasty.

The best Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had! We had Maki Deluxe II, Maki Deluxe III and Sushi Deluxe for four people. It was delicious and more than enough.

Food is way too expensive for the quantity & quality. Sushi was more of just rice than anything else. Didn't like the chicken teriyaki or udon noodles . Food was very average.

Amazing sushi place which is very authentic. The sushi chef is very friendly and everyone working there is great. I highly recommend this place.

As avid sushi eaters, we know good, fresh sushi and that is why we were so impressed after a recent visit here. Firstly, the restaurant was immaculate! Secondly, the bartender made delicious drinks with generous pours. Thirdly, the waitress was charming and efficient. Finally, while not a huge menu, the food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. It was an excellent value for the meal. We will be back very soon, and you should go!

Super fresh food. It was very tasty and staff was very friendly. I need to try more before I can increase the rating.

I’m picky. A place rarely get five stars. Liked what I saw on TripAdvisor (and bam..Spot on). Tonight was a very odd and off-night (Mother’s Day weekend) as we were the only people there. According to the sushi chef, any other night, the place is packed. We had full attention from Arthur, an authentic Japanese sushi chef, so gained a lot of knowledge within a short period of time. Arthur volunteered that the salmon was Scottish salmon. I had the seared salmon nigiri and it was fabulous. I then had a yellowtail hand roll with scallions, with a little bit of spicy Japanese mayo. Author informed me that authentic Japanese yellowtail, can’t be called Hamachi unless it’s a fish less than two years of age. Even the miso soup had some depth compared to most blasé offerings at other places. He also volunteered that the Sapporo beer on his menu was made in Canada and so recommended instead, the Orion beer imported from Okinawa. Lastly, he said they can make things not on the menu, you just simply have to ask. The food was authentic, fresh, no froufrou sushi, people were polite, authentic, and professional. Overall atmosphere could be a little cozier, yet still small and very nice. We will definitely return! ?
