Tavern in the Square is one of my favorite restaurants because of their large drink menu and their atmosphere! The food and the service has been consistently good. It’s a great place for a casual date night!

Popped in while in the area for a quick lunch on the patio. The food come out hot and fresh and the wait staff did a really good job of taking care of us and making sure our tables were clean. Tavern does a lot well and this location also has the brunch buffet which is a great deal and nice option if you are looking for a change of pace from the local diner.

Had lunch there today. Ordered steak tips, medium. Meal arrived, cut into one and was completely Raw! Sent it back; returned with it and it was still RAW........

First of all, I never write a review of an establishment unless it is worth my time, and Tavern in the Square fits that bill! A group of us were in Northborough so we stopped in to have some drinks and grab some food. Really great look to this place, nice feel, loved the decor. Loved our food as well, perfectly cooked, but I have to say we had the best bartender we have ever had (and 3 of us in my party ARE bartenders by trade)!

My brother was up visiting and wanted to have lunch at a sports bar so we headed over. We arrived after the lunch crowd so kind of had the place to ourselves. They have a wide selection of draft beer and a nice choice of specialty drinks. Particularly enjoyed the Kentucky Bourbon Ale and the “Unconditional Love”. We had the Grains & Greens salad, fish tacos, Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken, clam chowder, and the corn flake chicken sandwich. I substituted the tots for my fries and got enough for the whole table! And they were the best I’ve ever had. In fact, we all enjoyed our meals and the excellent service from Stephanie. We’ll be sure to visit again.
