I have been to the Downtown numerous time over the past 50 year under different ownerships. I want to support local businesses. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered take out from the Downtown I was surprisingly disappointed. I ordered two fish and chips to go. I found the containers to be light, but didn't check inside until I got home. To my astonishment there was a small piece of fish and no chips in both orders. I returned the items and was offered a new order which I declined due to my disguss. I received a refund. This should nerver happen. Somebody just wasn't paying attention to what they were doing. So, after 50 years as a patron, I'm done with the Downtown.
Burgers were over cooked and the fries were cold. Sat for about 15 minutes before getting a menu or a drink

Don't be discouraged by the dated decor. The food, the drinks, and the staff are amazing! Don't look for healthy options on the menu, you won't find any. But if you're on a cheat day this is right up your alley!
