Good sushi and bar food. A little difficult with celiac but great place to watch the Pats play. Great drinks. We love going in the fall when it's not too crowded.
Good burgers but way overpriced. $10 burgers on Tuesdays, but they didnt tell us until we sat down and ordered that there is a one drink minimum. Nice view if you can get a seat near the window. Popular, noisy bar atmosphere.
One of my favorite restaurant in Martha's vineyard food was excellent

The Lookout has great views, excellent service and delicious food. We had to wait a bit but it was well worth it. I had the patty melt and my husband had the Italian panini. Both meals were delicious. We would highly recommend the restaurant
Not welcoming or accommodating of families with young children. We stopped in for lunch with our 1.5 year old. The outside was closed so we tried for a table inside but they are all high tops which meant we needed a high chair or booster seat. Easy! But they didn't have either one. That's it. We were truly just dismissed with absolutely no effort made to find a solution - not even a simple apology for having to turn us away. The hostess could not have been less friendly or helpful. We eat out a lot with the baby and this is the first time we've ever been turned away.

The lobster roll was mediocre at best. Good size but overcooked lobster meat. I like the sushi here but wouldn’t recommend the lobster roll. Service was decent until I made a suggestion after giving a solid tip. The response was very defensive. All they had to do was say thanks and move on but they made a scene. I rarely say this but I won’t go back. They probably thought I was a tourist…

Nice place, always busy. Let me know if you can finish the lobster roll. Dog friendly, even brought them water bowls. We were served by a lovely young lady from Serbia, I was amazed at how good her English was. Many others of the wait staff helped bring the food & drinks. This crew works very well together. The food is great as are the drinks. A must go in Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard.

A great little pub near to the ferry terminals where staff are polite and friendly. They even have waiters wandering around offering table service so you don't need to get up when you want another drink. Well worth a visit.

Our first night on the Island and I really want Lobster. This was highly rated so we thought we would give it a try. There was a line to get in and a bit unorganized. Staff seemed almost annoyed to be there, didn’t make eye contact or acknowledge us, or others. Once we figured out we could sit at bar first come first serve we decided to do that. The bartender was great! He was very busy mixing drinks, but made an effort to let us know he saw us and would be with us soon. Lobster bisque was decent, and the Lobster tacos and steak tacos were good. Nothing amazing, best part was just having the bartender acknowledge us and seem happy to be there.
We visited Martha's Vineyard on a lovely day, and sat outside. There is NO view of the ocean from the lowest level of the restaurant. But the drinks and food were delicious - I had my first ever hot buttered lobster roll (not inexpensive, but very good) and it was served with amazing fresh cut potato chips. I'd also recommend the Cucumber Cosmo - I had the Rum Punch, which was good, but my friends had the Cosmo and I was better! Our waiter was Taylor R, who was very friendly and attentive.
My husband and I took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard while on vacation on Cape Cod, and we decided to have lunch at Lookout Tavern because of the reviews mentioning good lobster rolls. We also were hoping to be seated at a table with a water view, but the wait was too long so we accepted the high seats at a narrow communal table by the bar. Unfortunately, that seating did not give us much space (people seated close on both sides), and the high seats were uncomfortable for me because I'm so short. But the uncomfortable seating was outweighed by the terrific lobster rolls, which were very meaty (the waitress said they were about 8 oz) and tasty (warm with butter as we like them). They were probably the best lobster rolls we had in our entire 2-week trip, which is saying a lot because we had lobster rolls several times.
