This place was really great! I loved that there was no loud music and it felt like we could get away from the crowd for a bit. The food was delicious, we ordered the house noodles which had a lovely marinated beef. We also got the shrimp tempura sushi roll which was super tasty and a very large serving. We sat on the patio and looked at all the people walking by and had such a lovely afternoon lunch. Other things to note are the clean bathroom, the friendly staff, and the kind service.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and provided great service. Unfortunately the food really missed the mark. We ordered pad Thai, boneless spare ribs, and wonton soup. The pad Thai did not taste like any pad Thai we have had (and we have had a lot of it from several different restaurants, so we are very familiar with how it should taste). The boneless spare ribs were ok but a little greasier than we are used to. My husband really did not like the soup. Even the Pepsi tasted off, and we were charged $4 for each drink as well as for every refill. For how much we paid, I wish we were able to enjoy the food more. Looking at the reviews after the fact, I think we should have ordered the sushi instead of what we ordered.

Started out ok with apps. Crab Rangoon did not have crab in it. Ordered whole fish and they severed something else. When I questioned the waiter ( who smelled like smoke) and he said we were out and walked away. It was some kind of cut up fish in a sweet type sauce. It was one of the WORST meals I have ever had. I took one bite. Other people with me had similar experience with a shrimp dish, sesame chicken and other meals. Note: we were the only people in the place (should have taken that as a hint). This was terrible!!!!

Double check your order if you place online! I recently ordered a tofu dish (the mapo tofu) which when ordering online does not show it would come with any meat. But it was served with either pork or beef. It was not properly listed either on the menu or when ordering and if I had known the dish would come with pork I certainly would not have ordered it.
Very nice eatery and clean! The food was good, but the dish that I ordered had too much salt. I liked there take out containers with a nice message :) I’ll be back next year!

Whether we go for sushi, Asian Fusion, or Japanese meals, a visit to Mikado always feels like you’re giving yourself a reward. The workers actually remember our names, present the food in beautiful arrangements, are welcoming and personable, and the food is delicious. Get there and give yourself a treat!
