Went here relatively last minute to watch the super bowl. Volume wasn't great at first "don't want you to have to listen to the commercials" (um, some people want to see the commercials people spent crazy money on for the Super Bowl). Got a bit better at game time but still wasn't great.Service was great, the food was great.
One of my favorite restaurants on the island. Open year round and certainly a local clientele gives me the feeling every time that I'm at the right place. The food is outstanding. Never had a bad experience there and the service is great.
It is somewhat difficult to find good beef in many restaurants today, but the Ocean View served superior selections, prepared as requested. The sirloin steak tips were very satisfying, and the prime rib was just about ideal. Oh, yes - the 'popovers' served with the prime rib were absolutely superb! Granted that one cannot see the ocean from the dining room, regardless of the establishment's name, but it didn't matter. Ambiance was pleasant without being ostentatious....
