I recently dined at Coop de Ville in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts with my wife and son after a day trip on Martha's Vineyard. I must say that the service left much to be desired. While the ambiance and food were quite enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by the impolite, bordering on rudeness of our waiter. We were trying to decide which meal to order and he was very impatient with us; at one point saying "Come on you guys; OK, let's make this simple." On several occasions we thanked him and not one time did he acknowledge it in some way. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and considers providing more training and support to their service staff to ensure all customers have a positive dining experience. I hope that the service improves and matches the quality of their food and ambiance.

We stopped here for lunch today while we were on a tour at Martha's Vineyard. This place was recommended to us by our tour guide. The food was Ok. But the SERVICE was AWFUL. We were rushed to order. We were given an attitude by our server when we were deciding what to drink and also at the time to place our order. We decided not to tip our server. The restaurant is small with outdoor tables. The view is beautiful.

Let me preface this by saying that the food was amazing! They were out of many items at 5 pm on a Saturday but what we could order was flavorfulAnd fresh. The service was sub par. Our server was inattentive and paid more attention to her phone than her tables. I’d give it another try, with hopefully a better server.

Nestled on Martha’s Vineyard’s tranquil waterfront, Coop de Ville promises both an aesthetic and culinary treat. The ambiance, coupled with their expertly crafted wings, offers an experience that is distinct and memorable.Wing Flavors Breakdown:1. 3 Mile Island: ?️?️?️?️?️• Flavor Profile: This sauce is a masterclass in achieving the perfect equilibrium between heat and depth of flavor. Its layered composition gives an initial spicy punch, followed by subtle and savory undertones that make it irresistibly moreish.• Consistency: Strikes the right balance, ensuring every wing is uniformly coated without being drowned.2. Jamaican Jerk (Wet & Dry): ?️• Flavor Profile: Distinctive for its blend of spicy, sweet, and savory, the Jamaican Jerk here leans away from the excessive sweetness often associated with this flavor. Instead, it presents a well-rounded taste experience that echoes authentic Caribbean flavors.• Consistency: The wet version offers a glossy, rich coat, while the dry gives a textured, seasoned exterior, catering to varied preferences.3. Suicide: ?️?️• Flavor Profile: Contrary to its menacing name, the Suicide offers a delightful heat without pushing boundaries. The flavor is robust and rounded, making it a choice pick for those who appreciate spice without extreme intensity.• Consistency: Sufficiently saucy, ensuring each wing is enveloped in its rich flavor without becoming soggy.4. Cajun (Wet & Dry): ?️• Flavor Profile: This is where southern charm meets the wing world. The Cajun offers a peppery and smoky taste, evoking the rustic flavors of Louisiana.• Consistency: The wet variant provides a moist and tangy experience, while the dry seasoning brings out the crunch and character of the wing, allowing for a dual experience.Recommendations: The 3 Mile Island stands out as a must-try for its unparalleled flavor journey. However, each sauce brings its unique charm to the table. Depending on your preference for heat, sweetness, or a fusion of both, there’s a flavor awaiting your discovery at Coop de Ville. In Summary: Coop de Ville isn’t just about the wings; it’s about the art of wing-making. The meticulous crafting of each sauce, the consistency, and the evident passion behind each flavor profile make it a premier destination for wing aficionados. If you’re visiting Martha’s Vineyard, a pit stop here isn’t just recommended; it’s essential. ???

We were here for drinks on a Tuesday, the last day of a week on the island. Service was great, the dockside location was wonderful, and the people-watching was fun and plentiful. Music via PA at medium volume, which was very nice. We've been here before and we will be back - the groovy beach shack vibe combined with great service was perfect.

Ordered the Island Steamers, a $30 appetizer, advertised as "Simply the Best". Unfortunately, they were filled with sand (a lot of sand). Asked the server for more broth to dip/rinse the steamers but there was so much sand, it was largely ineffective. A very unpleasant experience. Our mistake was not sending them back right away. Giving a rating of a 3 as we have had good lobster rolls and a lobster dinner here. But those steamers were horrible. Would NOT recommend!

I rarely write yelp reviews but I'm compelled to shout out Coop de Ville. Their Lobster Fest poster at the Oak Bluffs info booth lured us in for lunch. We had a large group of 5 children (ages 4-11) and 5 adults (ages 40-71) and they accommodated us immediately under the tent, when we arrived before noon. Jennifer was our server and she is amazing!! She took care of us so well, along with the other tables in her section. You may imagine the chaos of lunch with so many kids but it was one of our highlights of our MV day trip (and Cape Cod trip in general). We ordered 3 steamed lobsters, fried scallops basket (huge and delicious), cheeseburger, tuna melt, fried clams basket, several bowls of chowder, and kids' mac & cheese. Also lemonades and several beers. Everyone was happy with their food, and the temperature of the food & portion size (that is tough with a large group). Another shout out to Jennifer, who was so sweet and friendly to us. We hope to come back again to try the wings!

Definitely a tourist stop. Great harbor views. Over priced food in small portions. It was yummy, but we probably wouldn't go back.Kid-friendliness: They offer a children's menu.Parking: Be prepared to walk. But given the area, that is to be expected.
