Glen Cove’s Bay Room

A wonderful experience at the Glen Cove. Food was delicious. The environment is charming. And the staf are fabulous! We highly recommend the Glen Cove.

We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday evening in August. There are just handful of tables outside and we were happy to wait for one (we didn’t make a reservation). We sat at the bar and had some fantastic martinis (cheers to the bartender!) and before we could take a second sip our table was ready!

The service was excellent and the food was outstanding!

We ordered the swordfish which was juicy and delicious, the codfish oscar which was luxurious and indulgent, and the steak tips which were flavorful and tender.

We were all very pleasantly surprised, in fact quite impressed, with the caliber of Glen Cove. I had somehow assumed it might be stuff and dated, but I was so wrong! And I am going to be delighted to be coming back whenever I have a special occasion to celebrate or friends/family visiting.

This review is for the restaurant as I have not been a guest at the hotel.. but wow! Been here for dinner twice and the food is amazing. Highly recommend the salmon bowl!

Major shoutout to the Glen Cove staff for how they handled the power outages this weekend, and on one of the busiest weekends of the summer, no less. You would’ve never known anything was wrong. They stayed calm, kept things running smoothly, and somehow made it all look easy. And Shannon? Truly one of the best managers I’ve ever seen in action. The way she handles situations, even the unexpected and stressful ones, with such steady leadership and care… it’s something special. I don’t know how she does it, but I’m so glad she does. Appreciate you all more than you know. Y’all crushed it. 💪👏

We had the Best brunch with the Most Amazing server Trinity Faith. Trinity gave us the best suggestions, made us laugh so hard we were crying, and treated us like family. She was one of the Best servers I've had in my life. The food was top notch and the hostess was a sweetheart. I highly recommend coming here. The view was mesmerizing. Nothing but praise...

Brunch Saturdays AND Sundays‼️‼️‼️

We had the most amazing dinner last night ! We were a party of 9 there to celebrate my birthday. Our food server (I cannot remember her name) was absolutely fantastic! She didn’t write anything down but managed our food and drink orders flawlessly! Every meal was delicious and I loved the scallop stir fry with the coconut cream yellow curry! Great band in the downstairs bar after dinner too! We are moving to Onset later this year and we look forward to making Glen Cove a weekly destination for dinner and drinks. Thank you !

High ranking for cleanliness, hospitality, and location. Two issues: noisy old window AC units make this a place to avoid in hot weather. Continental breakfast is marginal and not available until 8 am. For those needing early morning coffee, the diner down the street opens at 7 am and there's a Dunkin Donuts a short drive away. I would definitely return off-season when no AC is needed.

We decided to spend the night at this cozy hotel on February 16th. This hotel overlooks Onset Beach and the prices are very reasonable for the off-season. Upon arrival, we decided to have a few drinks at the bar and some appetizers for a late afternoon snack. The bartender was very friendly and recommended the wings, which were delicious. They also have homemade fries, which are always a favorite for me. They have live entertainment on the weekends and the band "Timeline", I believe was their name, was playing that night. We ordered dinner, and I have to say, I believe it was the best prime rib I have ever had. Good music, excellent food, and a bartender that can make a great martini. What more can a girl ask for? I loved the quaintness of this old hotel and will definitely be back in the summer when I can enjoy the beautiful beach right across the street.

Visited onset beach for my friends 40th birthday and headed to the lounge for the live music as our last stop of the night. Our birthday girl was clearly intoxicated, but the rest of our party was fine. We headed downstairs, asked for a table to be cleared and I got a glass of water for my friend so she could sit and hydrate (we walked a long way to get there). We had been there nearly 10 minutes when I went to order a drink and was informed (loudly) that our party would not be served. I asked why and the bartender yelled that his manager came down from upstairs and said not to serve any of us. Apparently she saw us when we walked in, and rather than telling us upstairs that she didn’t want our friend there-she allowed us to settle in downstairs for 10 minutes and then embarrass us in front of the entire bar. Several of the other servers felt terrible and apologized. The male bartender was not nice about it. It was an overall strange and embarrassing situation. Of course I completely understand the liability, but I don’t understand why it was handled like that.

This is long overdue but my wife and I wanted to thank you and let you know we had a fantastic stay back in August. Glen Cove was just what we wanted when we needed to get away. Our stay was great, the food was amazing and we had a great time. The location was perfect for us. Although there were many dining options around, we ate more often in the hotel than anywhere else. The stuffed clams were unbelievable. I also wanted to tip my hat to the staff but especially Gail because she so welcoming and helpful. We plan on staying again.
