Was a pleasure to stay !
Absolutely fabulous dining experience!! Excellent service tremendous atmosphere delicious appetizers and main entrees ! Great place to enjoy stunning waterfront views ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There should be a star for parking. I would give it a 1 star. I got there around 9:30 pm. It’s is a night with a live band. I couldn’t find a spot and wasn’t warned. So I call and talk to someone who precedes to tell me it’s first come first serve. Then offers no other info. I was a little upset and asked if I was supposed to sleep in my car. I shouldn’t have said that. She irritably comes out and finds me and finds me a spot. I go inside to learn that parking was not guaranteed. To be fair, they gave me note to put on my dash that says I am a guest and says they try to put out cones and I can move them and park. The rest of the staff were really nice. It’s a super old building that I guess they renovated. There is an elevator. I was on the 4th floor and could still hear the live band in my room. The room is very old fashioned. The TV was tiny. The bed was so hard I thought I was going to throw out my back. The bed was also very noisy. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but only stayed 1.
Superb
Very cute, 1800's Victorian era hotel, newly renovated.
Very good food, nice bar upstairs with a really good intimate club downstairs featuring live music. The night we were there there was a rock band playing some great covers from the last 20 years or so.
Very accommodating and helpful staff.
Across the street frpm the water, there are some terrific views from many of the rooms.
The location was excellent. There was an elevator.
We enjoyed sitting on patio sipping our drinks and enjoying clam chowder, stuffed quahog and salads before concert. Thanks Rory for awesome service.
Went for the Sunday Brunch. Beautiful view with great selections of breakfast choices.
Went to the restaurant only - views are incredible. Went with the Prime Rib and it didn’t disappoint - could have been a little more tender is my only critique. Will have it again. Great spot for the area! Make sure to call and make a reservation.

The food here was GREAT! I had the chopped salad, and it was delicious. This place also has the best view of the bay compared to any of the other local restaurants. I definitely recommend sitting outside!
❤✌so glad I stopped in for dinner, staff and food was awesome! Thanks again, Rory! 😃
The Glen Cove Hotel & Restaurant was a great choice for us! I'm going to go over the restaurant and our hotel stay in this review. The location is perfect for those who want walkable access to local attractions in Onset. The beach is literally right across the street and is perfect for a quick frolick without having to lug around the needed beach accessories. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed. It's slightly archaic (in a good way) and it felt like being inside someone's home. Check in was very easy, and they even called us to let us know that we could check in early (which we didn't since we arrived about an hour late). The room was cozy and clean. Don't expect lots of bells and whistles; it's set up is simplistic and I prefer that. Be aware though that there isn't a refrigerator in the room. They do provide 24 hour access to a fridge down in the lobby where you can get yogurt, water, juice, and milk.
The included continental breakfast doesn't include any hot food, but they do give fresh coffee and hot water for tea and oatmeal. They also have cold cereal (great for kids), muffins, and granola bars. I would've liked hot foods to be available, but I think what they offered was fine especially for the fair pricing. The dining experience was fantastic. We had dinner here two nights: Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday night was quiet, and we ate on the outer deck. Our waitress (can't remember her name) was absolutely fantastic and knew the menu very well. She made some great suggestions and we loved everything we had. I strongly suggest the bruschetta.
Thursday night was a bit different as they had live music in their downstairs bar (the 1883 lounge). We ordered mostly appetizers while enjoying the performance from Michael Paul Brennan. They had a coconut shrimp special which was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered that night was just as good as Tuesday. The service on both nights was also very good. We never had to wait around for our waitresses and they never rushed us throughout the evening.
Overall our stay was fantastic and we loved every bit of it, save for only two minor things: our bed and the pillows. We both found the bed to be a little too stiff for our liking. The two pillows included in the room were either super soft or very firm. I'm sure there are people who like a firmer bed, but we weren't them. Also, keep in mind that the parking lot isn't huge. It's a decent size, but it gets filled up quickly around dinner time, which isn't a surprise given how delicious the food is. Just keep that in mind that you may have to wait for a spot after a full day out. Those are the only negatives I can think of, and honestly even with that I think I would still return. It was a pleasant stay overall and we enjoyed ourselves. I definitely think a stay here is worth a shot for the average person, especially considering how close to the beach you are. You also don't need to travel for delicious food if you don't want to, and if you decide to do so, there are plenty of options within walking distance
Major shoutout to the Glen Cove staff for how they handled the power outages this weekend, and on one of the busiest weekends of the summer, no less. You would’ve never known anything was wrong. They stayed calm, kept things running smoothly, and somehow made it all look easy. And Shannon? Truly one of the best managers I’ve ever seen in action. The way she handles situations, even the unexpected and stressful ones, with such steady leadership and care… it’s something special. I don’t know how she does it, but I’m so glad she does. Appreciate you all more than you know. Y’all crushed it. 💪👏
Always consistent, tasty, and fresh food. Great food & drink menu. Staff are quick and very kind & friendly. Everything on the menu is a hit and the ambience and atmosphere is truly great.
