Kitchen closes at 9 pm. nowhere on the website or menu does it say this is the case. we planned for my friends birthday dinner. i understand that off season (even though it was only a few days after labor day) hours change, but again nowhere does it say kitchen stops serving food.

We were seated and were told we had to move. Then we didn't get any bread. Then one of our meals never came out and no one acknowledged that this happened. The customer service was terrible!

Our waitress was amazing but the other waitress who put her two cents in about my children and the mess they left is the problem. What the other waitress does not know, is we asked for a broom to clean up, and our waitress offered to take care of it and we took care of her with a very nice tip. Due to the other waitress, we will not be back. We’re thinking the other waitress should probably worry about her own tables :)

The 'owner' can't even do the simple task of proof reading their response to negative reviews. Explains why the more concerning detail of properly training their staff would seem to be beyond their current capabilities. Locals know to go across the street now.

A comedy of errors starting with the reservation. Called and mentioned we had a large party (8) and wondered if they could accommodate us on the deck. We arrived and they told us they were expecting a party of 2, but they could seat us “dockside”. Little did we know dockside meant 100 yards away from the restaurant on picnic tables… Being a nice evening, our party decided to try to make the best of it. Things went downhill from there.

Now, I won’t mention our server by name because I truly believe the problem was really poor training. If I owned this place, I’d be embarrassed. The server was under 18 and explained he could not make our drinks and had to wait for the bartender to make them. An odd comment that made sense when it took 30 minutes to get our drinks. We didn’t see our server again in that time either. When he came back, he was apologetic but felt like he had no control over the situation. He probably didn’t. we urgently placed our appetizers and main course. We thought things were settling in when the apps came out in a somewhat reasonable time. Food was good. Main entrees took forever and then came out piecemeal with a big gap in between people getting their meals. The server, thinking mission accomplished began flirting with other staff. We had to let him know 10 minutes after food started to arrive, one of our party was missing her meal. A soup bowl, which literally just needed to be ladled into a bread bowl. This stumped our waiter and he forgot our next rounds of drinks. Again, really bad or severely lacking training from management. The kid was nice enough, he just wasn’t setup for success. Other staff watched him flounder and didn’t offer him any help. Sad that the food was actually decent. Avoid this place, much better options a stone’s throw away.

Ownership should be EMBARRASSED.

We have been staying in onset for the month of July and I walk by this restaurant daily on my morning walk and we have been looking forward to going and trying it out. I have to say, it was such a disappointment. I wanted to like this restaurant so much! I don’t usually write bad reviews because I do a lot of research before I go to a restaurant. The good…the view is very nice, overlooking a little marina so we chose to sit outside, we couldn’t get a seat at the railing overlooking the water but did have a nice table with a view at the end of the deck, the menu had some nice items on it. The bad…my husband ordered a draft IPA and it was served in a warm glass and it was warm, the server offered to give him another one but he said no she gave him a glass of ice to put in it, he drank a small amount of it. I ordered an aperol spritz and it came in a small coupe type glass with no ice, my husband went up to the bar to talk to the bartender…we had a big surprise when he found out they don’t have one! The servers make the drinks for the customers…I look forward to nicely crafted drink to go with a good meal, it really elevates the dining experience. I would have just ordered a glass of wine if I knew that my server was making my drink. At that point we decided to just go simple for our meals, for dinner I ordered the mini lobster roll appetizers one butter one mayo which were ok, it came with fries which were luke warm, my husband ordered a burger, he asked the server for med rare and it was extremely over cooked (not her fault) and a very small portion of roasted potatoes, I think I counted 7 pieces. The dining experience was such a let down and unfortunately we will not be back.
