My friends kept telling me that I've been to the Beacon room and I kept insisting I had not. The reason was it never stood out to me the food is way too fancy for me and really not my taste. The service was okay, but the atmosphere is lovely.

The Beacon Room is a must do. We ventured upon The Beacon Room last year and had such a great experience that we talked about it throughout the year. We knew when we came back this fall we had to go again. The atmosphere is welcoming, restaurant is cozy and warm. The food.... Amazing. Staff.. amazing. In particular, Brian. We made early reservations for a hi-top (definitely make reservations). We asked if the bar was available when we arrived and it turns out it was.. which is what we hoped for. We had such a great experience with Brian last time, so this was a great surprise. Brian is attentive, personable, listens and very knowledgeable of cocktails and food recommendations. He interacts with customers, knows what they like.. all while handling a full bar. You can also share with Brian what you're thinking of ordering and what appetizer might pair up well with that. He's spot on, too! This year we had the Burrata app.. amazing. Lovely toasted bread with garlic, greens and fresh cherry tomatoes. We ordered the duck (as did I last year) and the NY strip, rare. Both came with the phenomenal Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. Absolutely fantastic. We each ordered dirty martinis , which were delicious and made perfectly. We will definitely be back next year and will continue to highly recommend The Beacon Room. If you are visiting the cape, we highly recommend you add this gem to your places to visit. You won't be disappointed.

To begin with we liked the atmosphere - string lights, low to moderate noise level - sort of a rustic, ski chalet type feel. Service was a tad leisurely for my taste, but those who like to linger over a meal and take their time will be pleased. We found the menu limited in scope and I was surprised that there was only one special this evening (our server did not volunteer the price of the special - a lapse in service). The parmesan truffle fries starter, my pork schnitzel and my wife's Gorgonzola salad with grilled shrimp were all excellent and generous in portion size. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and we will likely return for the quality of the food and cozy ambience.

So disappointed in my meal , Ordered the Crab crusted Cod . The fish tasted fishy , the rice had no taste and the veg. was raw ,unable to eat and no one else in our party could. I always look to find something I would not make at home and as usual a disappointment .

the fresh fish was just off the boat and delicious, the staff were excellent, my dog got water, and the cake (flourless) was perfection!

The bread was served warm with very cute spear butter balls. Service was very slow! The waitress took the order of people who were seated after us order first and seemed annoyed when I told her I was ready to order. Food was good portion was ok size but could be more for the price. The atmosphere was very beautiful outside.

We had a wonderful experience from starters to dessert. Portions were plentiful, food was delicious, and cocktails were strong. It’s a great place to grab a nice meal without the stuffy feel.

It can sometimes be a struggle buying gifts for my parents. They're downsizing now that they're retired & generally don't need a lot of new stuff. So in recent years, I've taken to buying them gift cards for restaurants I think they might enjoy. This too is a challenge, as I don't live nearly as close to them as I'd like. So every time I visit the Cape to spend time & other members of my family, I'm spending a good deal of time scouting potential options for future gifts. That's how I came across the Beacon Room, & I'm glad my instincts were confirmed when I found a number of positive reviews for it. My parents appreciated the friendly staff & fortunately they picked a good night to enjoy some outdoor dining. They've been back since, so it feels like I picked a winner.

Favorite date night spot by far. Food is always incredible, service is great. The sole and elk loin were perfectly cooked. It’s a real experience to dine here
