I've been by before several times over the years & heard good things + have always wanted to try this restaurant, so I'm glad we finally got a chance yesterday! (02/28/24) We went as a party of 3 for lunch. It looked not too busy, which I was happy about. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted by our waitress who was friendly & polite, welcoming us to choose our own seats. We noticed how cozy & quaint it looked as soon as we walked in. We also saw a board with listed specials. One of them was a roast pork meal, another chicken rice soup that I believe you could order with either a grilled cheese or tuna melt. They also had dessert choices listed including a coconut cake. We chose a comfy booth in front of the window. They also had tables with chairs or counter seating available. Our waitress passed out menus once we sat down & took our beverage order. We all ordered coffee, which was served hot & fresh. We were told that we could decide between breakfast or lunch. My fiancé & I went with the soup/sandwich option. We asked for a bowl of the soup to share & planned to split a grilled ham & cheese on homemade herb bread. His cousin who dined with us ordered a breakfast which featured eggs, toast, hash, & home fries. Our food came after a brief wait (not long at all) & portions were plentiful. A few other customers came in during our stay, but it was close to closing time, so they didn't get too many others. Some seemed like "regulars" & I can see why! Our waitress was attentive & sweet, making sure we had enough coffee during our lunch & that we were satisfied with our meals. The food was excellent & prices were very reasonable here. I loved the relaxed, laid back atmosphere that was nicely decorated for St. Patrick's Day, amid Americana decor. We loved the overall experience & look forward to returning. A hidden gem for sure!Kid-friendliness: Definitely family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level/wheelchair accessible

Food was meh, home fries were basically cut up French fries, didn't even have seasoning on them. Service was OK, the waitress was nice, and it took a little more time to get our food than most places that are much bigger. Heard other customers complaining about the wait as well. The atmosphere was probably the best part. Nice looking little establishment. I'm not sure I'd return or recommend, but maybe if they revamped the menu and got a new cook.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I try to make sure I go at least once a week because I just can’t get enough of their homefries. My kiddos love the huge chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream! The staff is always so friendly and we never wait long! We were so happy to see them open back up on Sundays!

couple that came in right behind us got served, finished eating, paid and left before we received anything. Then one of our meals was completely cold. Won't be back.

My boyfriend is from Athol, MA. I'm from San Diego, so I'd never been anywhere near the area. This is the very first place he brought me, for brunch. It was the cutest most comfortable small town place I'd ever seen. I loved it as soon as we pulled up. One girl was inside handling the whole restaurant by herself but she was great! We were never waiting on anything. She was so cheerful and kind also. The Red Sox pancakes were huge and so yummy. And the real maple syrup was amazing, I'd never had it before either. I will definitely be making him take me back every time I visit his hometown. Thanks so much!!!

I am finally happy to be able to have eaten here after driving by it twice several times now. The food was delicious. The staff here were friendly and professional. Parking is accessible and plentiful. I really appreciated the home kitchen atmosphere this restaurant has. Seating was comfortable. It apparent that they have longtime regular customers here that are happy to come by regularly. I am looking forward to going back again soon !

I have been going here for many years. The wait staff is very friendly and kind. The food is good but I recently had a bad experience finding a metal object in my food. It scared me because it was sharp and I bit into it (like the bristle of a metal grill brush), then spit it out. If I had swallowed it, I don't know what it could have done!Needless to say I won't be going back for a while, if at all. That was enough to keep me away.
