Since the previous owner sold it, some of its charm and flavor left the building. Absolutely BLARING music coming and from the kitchen is ridiculous, not to mention the stoic faces and the TLT tastes completely different. Couldn't think you could find a more annoyed person to work and be at the front register than Larry, ( gentleman with the beard) but you managed to do that too.. That being said my lunch today was delicious ( not the tlt) and the gifts are always unique and charming but definitely not the welcoming atmosphere it used to be.

I wanted to call this place “the spot” but to my surprise after a few years away it has officially died. The coffee is worse than Starbucks. Owners looked like they’d rather be anywhere else than there, no smiles no conversation just a dying business. Came under dressed on purpose to see if that affected anything and it did sadly. There was no spirit of New England or Christmas just fleeting memories of a place that once had potential.

I have had the privilege of visiting this establishment on several occasions and have consistently enjoyed exceptional breakfasts. The chef demonstrates remarkable skill in crafting breakfast sandwiches, and I highly recommend the Eggcellent Sandwich. This sandwich comprises two locally sourced eggs, ciabatta bread, and cheddar cheese. For an additional charge, I recommend adding bacon, which enhances the overall experience. I make every effort to visit this establishment whenever possible.

I have been to The Country Store numerous times. Everytime I go I always start right off with the delicious Seafood Chowder. It is on par with anything on the Boston Waterfront. Along with a variety of delicious sandwiches and homemade pastries you never leave hungry. Half of the store has a selection of Wines and local produce to shop from. Also books and crafts. The store was featured on Chronicle not too long ago. Set in the beautiful town of Petersham it is a must see destination.

The Petersham Country Store is a wonderful little bustling store tucked away in a sleepy town. The rustic country store has a surprising selection of fresh produce, local goods, prepared foods, and also offers dine-in breakfast and lunch. It is worth the ride on some gorgeous back roads to come find this place. I also love to picnic at the gazebo (just across the street) with my country store lunch. Lovely place, stop in and take in the small-town charm.

In our travels through the area we stopped in The Country Store late in the day to grab coffee to keep us going on our journey. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. So very kind and helpful that when we asked if they happen to have coffee available, apparently overhearing us, the owner began making a fresh pot of coffee and asked if we might have a minute or two because she heard us say we were traveling and could use a good cup of coffee. As promised within a couple of minutes we were enjoying one of the best and freshest hot coffees that we could have hoped for on our journey. We enjoyed our wonderful experience at The Country Store with it's many delightful and delicious foods, along with a variety of homemade specialties the Best and freshest cup of coffee around!

Variety of products to choose from such as maple syrup, fire cider, beer & wine, ground pork, wild caught ahi tuna, mac n' cheese, bone broth, and much more. Environment isn't as friendly as other stores. Will have to come back and try their coffee and sandwiches.
