This is a savings grace for people with severe allergies!!!! Small but mighty the purple rooster staff goes above and beyond to accommodate people with allergies. Plan to wait a little if it's a busy holiday or a large group because the kitchen staff is small but that is because the safety of their customers comes first. Warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere from staff and patrons alike!

If you want great food (regular or vegan or whatever else may limit what you can eat) then this is the place for you!! The vegan breakfast wrap and vegan chicken nuggets are awesome as was the vegan soup we took to go. Fresh, health and made to order. Diana and her staff work very hard to provide the best food and service possible and they nail it every time. Give it a try!!

This establishment is almost a 5 but not quite there in my opinion. I came here with my kid for a gluten free breakfast. I’m delighted to say that they offer a separate menu and many options for both breakfast and lunch, all gluten free. They also have a GF bakery. This part is a huge win.Our food was fresh and good, but it wasn’t wow worthy. The ambiance was fun. A comfortable collection of mismatched furniture and dinnerware. And the server and cook was super friendly and attentive. This place is absolutely LGBTQ friendly, as evidenced by some of there items for sale, as well as having gender neutral bathrooms. Again, this is a big win in terms of making it a safe place.I also found it to be a family friendly place and appropriate for people with mobility needs or seniors. It’s roomy and flat to get around.I believe where it fell short was in terms of needing some updates to the restaurant. It’s old. It’s also not as clean as I’d expect from a food establishment.Bottom line, come here for comfort food and to relax, but not a place for a special meal. If food allergies are an issue, you’ll do well here. Overall, I’d return!!

This amazing restaurant has gained a new regular!!! The owner is hands down amazing. Just walking through the door you feel like you’re at home!!! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! The food was cooked to perfection and well worth the price I paid!!! I highly recommend any of the amazing baked goods. I was lucky enough to get a warm piece of the lemon blueberry cake today it was delicious!! Wish I found this place sooner! I will definitely be returning often!

Me likey...me likey a lot! Ok, so I was not fond of the aroma in the restaurant when I walked in (smelled like an old building instead of yummy food), and the diner decor was subpar, but the food was mostly quite good. I particularly enjoyed the Marty, which was an egg and fried bologna sandwich on a sweet roll. Can I say "breakfast sandwich of the year?!" I think I just said it, and I meant it! The steak avocado toast with onions and peppers was very good too. It's no Matty but it will hold its own in the honorable mentions category. Unfortunately they were out of warm apples (the very pleasant waiter said it was out of season) . That's too bad because the home fries were average at best. But everything else was top notch. Hat tip to the Purple Rooster for a job well done. Now if we can just fix that old building smell...

I adore The Purple Rooster. The owner/chef is gluten free, and she makes both gluten free and non-gluten free foods masterfully, and in separate areas of the kitchen. She and her staff handle food allergies, sensitivities, intolerences and ciliacs very well. She has completely separate food prep & cooking areas, and even uses different plates for GF and non-GF. Dairy free cheese available too. My non-GF kids are always happy here as well. The waffle/pancake/french toast toppings options are excellent! Try the potato pancake (GF/DF by nature) - perfectly seasoned and a little bit crispy. Just right on their own, with toppings, or on the side. The deserts are all GF and some DF as well. Had a pumpkin spice muffin the other day that was amaizing - light, fluffy and perfect ratio of spice to sweetness. My (non-GF) kids & husband LOVED the GF brownies I brought home for them. I wish I could eat there everyday!
