It's been awhile since we've been to the Mountain Barn, so I had forgotten how good the food was and how affordable it was. I had a wonderful Chicken Cordon Bleu, and my son said that his Chicken Piccata was one of the best he's eaten. The best thing about the Mountain Barn, though, was that they had Wachusett Wally IPA on tap!! Can't wait to go back.

No matter when I go, the prime rib is always fantastic! Been getting it for the last 20 years and it’s great every time. Service is always wonderful too, it was great to be back after the pandemic!

The first conversation our waitress had with us as diners 5 regular items on the menu were not available. She said she would be right ba. Myck with breadWe never received any bread. I ordereda bottle of beer and requested a glasd. I was told no glasses wereavailable.My advice go to the 1100agGriill.

So it's 4th of July weekend and I drive 20 min to the mountain barn and they are closed...really? On a holiday weekend? Never in a million year did I think maybe I should call to see if a restaurant is open on a huge holiday weekend. Poor business practice. Barbers crossing was happy to take my business, I think ill go there from now often.

The people were very nice and we were seated immediately. We are locals but had never been to this place. It's very much a family restaurant - casual and good for kids but also nice for a couple who wants a sit down meal. Loads of parking. The food wasn't all that impressive though so I give the place 3 stars for being "average" at best. I can't imagine we will be back anytime soon. We ordered a Mediterranean platter and Crab Rangoon as starters. Rangoons had a super thick wrap but not too bad inside. Platter had lots of great veggies and soft pita with it but the hummus (what should be the star) was the worst I have ever had. Zero flavor. It was so bland it was weird. I had to add lemon juice and eat it with the kalamatas. It was as if they'd reconstituted chickpea powder and served as is. The feta also somehow lacked flavor. I got the baked haddock which was about what you'd expect from MA baked haddock. The garlic mash didn't taste like garlic. Hubby got a steak dish but I can't remember which one. He said it was a bit fatty. Took leftovers home but didn't eat them. Overall a "meh" experience.

It's a family friendly restaurant located in a rural location. The food is good and the ambiance is relaxed. The prices are also fair.
Always consistent food and service. Never disappointed. It's great to have a non-chain, locally- owned restaurant within a 10 min drive. The Ahi Tuna with Asian Slaw is to die for! Since its been featured, I've never had anything else! The Mountain Barn isn't just for skiers. Outdoor dining in the summer with great views or nice family atmosphere indoors.

We love it here. Its the perfect place for a family dinner with kids or a friends night out. They have standard American fare and always have a list of specials for the day. The bartender makes a good drink and the servers are always pleasant. We come here several times a year and always have a good time.

This is the first time we've been here. This place is awesome. The food and service are great. They needed more servers because they were slow at taking care of us initially but other than that they were good but a little forgetful. Our server was being run crazy. The food was delicious but the broccoli was under cooked like most places. We were to full to order dessert.
