Exactly what I needed on this dreary day, to make me wish I was on an island in the Caribbean.. Jerk chicken, rice & peas, a beef patty with cheese & cocoa bread, and possibly the best Mac & cheese I've ever had, all amazing and reasonably priced.. Great meal to watch the final round of the Masters!

I was on my way to a repast or after funeral wake when I stop in to get a bite to eat. I notice some Mac and cheese in the concession. The food display looked so good the space was clean and service from the ladies friendly. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I ordered oxtail Mac and cheese and cabbage. Not going to lie someone put their foot in it (urban dictionary required). The meal was worth the $26 and the favors were busting with grandma love!

The servers come off stern and unfriendly like they just want to make your plate and go to the next but the food is amazing. It’s fresh, warm and the portions are good. The desserts are good and they have good cocoa bread. They have a variety of beverages to purchase but some are difficult to see as the counter/ register blocks the view. Highly recommend. I ate the curry chicken rice and peas and tilapia.Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair can make it through the front doors

Almost always I find my favorite treats at Flames Restaurant. The Gizzadas are great but not always in stock. My niece loves Rock biscuits and this is where I buy them for here. The food is very tasty however the Curried goat can sometimes have too many bones for my liking. Flames does not cook or offer any pork dishes for those who like pork. The oxtail is almost always very tender and the rice and pease is fresh. I don't typically buy the fish because it seems like it's too dry. And the soup...my favorite year round...is never ready at lunch time which makes no sense to me. Best to go at around 2 p.m. if you want to be sure that it's ready and then depending on the day you may find your favorite from Cow Foot to Chicken. In terms of vegetarian options I'm sure it's available. They offer cabbage, mixed vegetables, a variety of rice including yellow rice, veg patties and more. love the variety of porridges. There is one special offered each day. The prices are average when compared to other Jamaican restaurants from Boston to Brockton. Flames is also open on Sundays and they have many locations so there is bound to be one nearby.

I have been coming here once a week for a year. The service is always the worse I have ever seen seen.Slow disorganized and always get things wrong.Saturday I came 3 people in front of me waited 15 mins then when I did get there they got the orders screwed up again and waited 10 more mins at the checkout. Can't understand how a place so poorly run can stay in business!!!

There was only 4 people in front of me and it was still 25 minutes before I placed my order. One person ordered food and 2 patties with bread and cheese along with a dish and the other ordered 4 of the same with no dish and the dish was ready long before any of the beef patties and they had to wait. They were conversating in english and their language which made it take longer to take my order. My patties and bread came out much quicker than the others so it is clear that it dosen't take that long for the order. The server was too busy conversating. About 2 people walked out after waiting too long.

The curry chicken was all bone and fat, only the one piece had meat on it - got a medium, it only comes with 4 pieces of chicken, so to only be able eat one piece was disappointing The curry gravy was super thick and the rice/peas had hard pieces of rice in it.

9/21/2023 for lunch. Food was just ok. Plantains as soon as I opened the container I could see they were old looking. I tried them anyways, they literally tasted like they had been sitting in the fridge for 5 days and reheated. They either never have them or they're never freshly cooked. The rice is also a hit or miss. It is more often waterlogged than not. The thing is, I've not tried them for a while so thought I would rather then going all the way into Boston give them another try. Very disappointed because I have tasted their and it was really good. Just wish they were consistent.

The chicken had more bones than meat. Overpriced food and the rice is mushy. The customer service was awful & the lady serving me had an attitude. I will never go back. There are far too many other good Jamaican food spots around to deal with such poor service.
