I've been here for a few events where the hall was rented. I also attended a birthday party that was on an outdoor patio. And I've also eaten here when just the wife and I have gone out for dinner. Every time has been a good experience. The food has always been good. The service is always adequate. The last time I went the golf greens looked a little rough not nearly as green as they have been in the past. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the lack of rain. However it is very noticeable. Not being a golfer I'm more enjoy the view.
The outside bar and function areas are very nice. The golf course is one of the worst I’ve ever played on. The tee boxes are weeds and dirt. The greens look to be diseased and some actually appear to be spray painted green. I only saw one distance marker on the course. It really needs an incredible amount of work.
awful. i don’t know what happened to this place…
Worst condition I've ever seen a course in. I must say it's a nice layout they just let the cost go to hell
I went to the main page for contact information but there wasn’t an email option so I really hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. We had reservations last evening at 6 for a party of 4, we have been there for outdoor dining and entertainment on quite a few occasions after last nights experience we are not sure we will be returning. Our server was ok at first, I’ll get to her in a bit, we ordered a pitcher of Strawberry Sangria, it was awful I would have just called it an orange and pineapple juice mix, my husband brought this to the attention of the bartender just to clarify that it was Strawberry and the bartender said she made it so it was correct, there was no flavor of Strawberry anything, absolutely horrible, then when we placed our food order I asked if there was bacon in the clam chowder, she said she didn’t think so but would check and continued to stand there as opposed to going to check, so I asked her to please go check before I order, ok so no bacon in the chowder perfect, I ordered a cup of chowder and had to repeat myself 3 times and then for a 4th time after everyone else placed their orders, we had to get her attention to place a new drink order for myself and 2 of the other guests had empty drinks, so when she finally came back with the 2nd round of drinks, she spilled some of the beer onto my phone and table, all I got was “oh sorry”, she continued to put the drinks down and asked does anyone need anything else? I was so infuriated that I took my napkin off my lap and said no I got it, and cleaned the beer spill with my used napkin, at no point did she attempt or even offer to wipe up the spill didn’t even get extra napkins for the spill, not to mention she was chewing gum and I’m sorry but I think that is extremely rude to be chewing gum while standing over people taking their orders. Also, the string lights that were hanging above us were not on so once the sun went down we were sitting in the dark. I just wanted to bring our horrible experience to someone’s attention, do what you want with it but like I said I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Thankfully my phone wasn’t damaged from the beer spill either because I would have done all of the complaining right then and there.
Do what you want with this information but hopefully this isn’t a new normal at your establishment.
Criminal that they charge people money to play here, never mind call it a country club. 1 star is generous.
This may be the worst course, condition wise, I’ve ever played. Most of the fairways are burnt grass and there are multiple patches of weeds in the middle of fairways and the greens, if you can even call them that, were down right awful. Bunkers were filled with rocks. Tee boxes all mostly dirt with weeds. Pretty sad to see what it’s become from 20 years ago. We will not be playing here again. Outdoor bar looks great though. Maybe sell the course to someone who cares about upkeep and just run the F&B. Cheers.
some of the worst conditions i’ve ever seen..
The food and atmosphere was great. But the service was awful. Waited over 30 minutes for drinks and order was wrong and refused to fix it. Disappointed as even the manager was disrespectful. We had a good time in the past but this evening put a damper on it.
I go line dancing there on Thursdays

I have not played Hillside in years. I left after the first hole. The tee box was bad. The fairway was burnt. The green was a mess. The Bar and pool looked great. If you want to play golf go anywhere else it will be much better. The golf course is horrible.
Service was excellent. It seemed like we caught it on a quiet night. Food was good! The band they had was excellent too.
Course is unplayable. Fairways are like playing in my backyard. Greens are even worse. Rips in the greens. No tee boxes. Hole 3s tee box is completely mud. One par 5. Would not recommend.
Food was good, staff were excellent. Music was ok. But the venue overlooked the golf course and there was a nice breeze.
Drinks are good. Food is struggling - really has gone downhill over the last year+. Want to love this place because the outdoor dining area and live music rotation is great.
